I wanted to start a thread for those of us who have applied, and are anxious waiting to find out if we got in. I can hardly think of anything else!
Let's talk!
If you work for UPMC, then I think that how you get your CPR card through them depends on where you work. I'm working at a UPMC hospital now, and they offer free CPR classes every month for staff at the hospital and pay them their usual hourly wages for the time that they spend in the class. There's another UPMC facility I know of though (not a hospital) where people have to get CPR certified on their own. I recommend just asking at the facility where you work.
How's everyone progress going working on "the list"? I have to admit I'm annoyed with how hard it is to get my questions answered by CCAC nursing department. I took the wrong CPR class so I'm taking another one; I have to kiss another $89 good bye. Ugh! And I just found out I need to get a varicella vaccine because my titer came back bad. Oh, and also, I changed my name recently (I took my husband's name with my maiden name; no hyphen) when I got married in July so my medical paperwork has just my maiden name on it. I'm expecting Castle Branch to give me a hard time about that. Ugh! Anyone else feeling overwhelmed?
