How's everyone progress going working on "the list"? I have to admit I'm annoyed with how hard it is to get my questions answered by CCAC nursing department. I took the wrong CPR class so I'm taking another one; I have to kiss another $89 good bye. Ugh! And I just found out I need to get a varicella vaccine because my titer came back bad. Oh, and also, I changed my name recently (I took my husband's name with my maiden name; no hyphen) when I got married in July so my medical paperwork has just my maiden name on it. I'm expecting Castle Branch to give me a hard time about that. Ugh! Anyone else feeling overwhelmed?

I got my packet too! Looking forward to meeting Boyce Day folks at orientation! I paid my ransom Castlebranch and that system seems weird. I also made an appointment to meet with the nursing advisor at Boyce and got weird emails from her that didn't make sense, like she asked me to bring in my CCAC transcripts (doesn't she have those?) I'm assuming she was just very busy. It's just nice to get emailed back so I'll take it. My next source of anxiety is dealing with this CPR certification. I signed up for a class that has an online component. I assume it's like taking a science class online; take the lecture online; learn CPR in "lab" It's a Red Cross class and I'll get my normal Red Cross certification. In our paperwork it says "NO ONLINE CLASSES." I hope this doesn't apply to mine because if it isn't "valid" to CCAC, I just lit $84 on fire. Does anyone know about that? I'm just looking forward to getting all of this paperwork and craziness done and getting started!

Does anyone know if we need to be CPR certified by the start of the program? I just let mine lapse so I need to get up to date ASAP if necessary.

I found out today that I was accepted to Boyce day program. There was a freak error made which delayed everything. Everyone at CCAC has been helpful in getting that resolved. So hi to my fellow Boyce Day classmates! Amber did say that program specific packets would not be going out until later this week.

Sigh, also it looks like no news today. My USPS Informed Delivery email says no mail.

I've *heard* I don't know for sure, that the evening and weekend program is very competitive. Who really knows though since everything that happens in that admissions office seems shrouded in great mystery, haha.

I thought that maybe Boyce day would be less competitive so I chose that program first, but I would probably prefer Allegheny Day, which was my second choice. I'm in between both schools.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who is stalking my mailman and compulsively checking this thread! Lol!

Anxiously awaiting here too! I'm trying to keep cool and expect bad news. I don't have all my developmental courses done and I was warned to expect not to get in without all of my sciences, psych, and English done. I did get an A in A&P 1 which is my only extra on my application. That A is my proudest accomplishment. 😜 Anyone else take Reznik for A&P 1 at Allegheny campus? If I don't get into CCAC's program, I'm looking into other programs. Anyone else applying other places?

Hey Everyone! I was wondering if anyone has heard how to admissions process works at CCAC. I submitted my application 8/1 and now I guess I have to wait patiently to hear back! I sent my application in via email and emailed Amber Reed to confirm receipt and never heard back. Anyone else have that experience? How long does it take to hear back? How competitive do you think the Boyce day program is? (I chose Boyce Day first because I figured I had better odds of getting in rather than Allegheny Day.) I have a 3.56 GPA (3.79 institutional GPA) and most of my pre reqs done. I got an 80 on my TEAS and an A in A&P I. I know that might not be enough. 😬 Anyone else waiting with me? Thanks!
