CCAC FALL 2017 nursing admissions, anyone hear anything yet?

Published

Hey all ! Just wanted to start a new thread to discuss any replies for admittance to CCAC FALL 2017 nursing school! Has anyone heard back yet? I applied in person at CCAC Allegheny after MLK day. I know they extended the application deadline, so I am hoping they need more people and that we may find out sooner than April 2017. On the edge of my seat!! My poor postman! I am behaving like another student mentioned on this site, like I am trying to find out if I won the "Golden Ticket" for the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. Much nail-biting happening! Anyone hear results back yet? This is one of my first posts, and I planted it in a few areas, to see if it gets responses, so please pardon the repeated posts.

Does your campus offer the 3 day drug dosage calculation classes? Yes I have a letter that plans out everything up until the first week of school, but I also had a statement saying there would be more info on what background checks and immunizations I need but that was also in that online packet I linked. I'm assuming they will send more details out but it is really frustrating with no email communication. I'm disappointed that my site doesn't offer labor and delivery or psych clinical rotations...so I'm not completely blessed

You received more information than I. I am sorry that your not doing L&D and Psych rotations?! How can they do that? No word from Amber yet. Why don't they utilize e- mail groups for each of the different campuses at least keeping each group on the same page. Very frustrating indeed.

I know I'm upset over it but I guess you learn that info from the book to pass. And yes they should utilize email!

Amber got back to me. Indeed, all campuses are being handled differently. My poor postman, it looks like I am back to stalking him for CCAC letters.

Patience is a virtue, that I still need to work on lol.

Received my orientation letter via e-mail but I am in the South day program. It details the non-mandatory information session to purchase scrubs etc.

It also states that you have to purchase their screening package which is a healthy 157.00 through castle branch. I'm grateful I work in a hospital already and have my CPR, TITERS, and Two-step TB done.

I was wondering if we could us the titers results from say a employeement with a hospital screening . I started working for UPMC in January and have this all done

Cool! I mentioned it before but I've been selected for HPOG and they pay all those fees thank god! But that's a small price for those two letters that's going to be behind our names í ½í¸í ½í¸í ½í¸ Thanks for the update!

I have a intake interview with Hpog in two days. How fast is the process after interview?

Has anyone gotten an e-mail or an orientation packet in the mail? I am part of the Allegheny Evening crew. If you have commented before of how you received info I envy you thoroughly. Still waiting here....

Ugggghhhhhh still waiting on my letter!

Ugggghhhhhh still waiting on my letter!

Well at this point being pragmatic, my only hope is that I get to square away titers, back ground check and orientation, hopefully BEFORE August.

They make you wait, and wait, and wait, and wait some more......

Yeah and I'm having trouble getting my financial aid together someone is always out of office, I kindof wish I just did an ABSN
