Again another post looking for those who have gone to Cardinal Stritch. I'm trying to figure out the best option for to become an RN. I already have a Master's & Bachelor's in Business so pretty much any program I go into I'll have most of my General Ed's done. (Just finishing up A&P2 and microbiology.)
Stritch's program sounds pretty good because I'd only have to go part time for the first 3 semesters which would leave me time to work. I'm just a little worried about their tuition costs. Do loans cover all of their tuition fees? I'm just concerned about my financial situation if there is going to be alot of immediate out of pocket costs. Any information you could offer would be great!
Thanks!
Hey navulpis!
You got yours right away? Did you take it @ Stritch? I will find out any day now what I got. And soon we both will find out if we are accepted! How did you do? What was your score? I thought the test was kinda hard! And yes, I'm very nervous. Well good luck to you, hope all goes well! I will be back on here in a few days to update my status on this blog. look forward to hearing how all it goes!
I scored in the 98% and my raw score was like 144. Actually, I took the test at another school since I am out of state. Will be moving to WI this month. Since it was computer based they print out your score at the end of the test!!!! Much better then waiting because I would be a nervous wreck. I thought it was hard and was shocked at my score. I had to withdraw of my current program in PA (I was in the 3rd semester of a part time ADN RN). Good Luck!! Keep my in the loop.!!!

So didn't do as good as I thought on my NLN score.. I received my letter in the mail last week stating that I was not accepted.... Bummer, a bit of a set back, but I am determined and will not give up! Currently petitioning at Matc and will probably retake the NLN to bump up my score a bit. Well, just so you know.. Best of luck to you and your endeavor.
I havent taken the RN NLN yet (have taken the LPN and scored well) but am wondering if you dont store high on the exam are you able to re take the exam again ? can you take the test more than once? also is the NLN exam the only pre req for the admission into the program there? thinking of applying but first going to take the nln exam before i go through the hassle of transferring all my transcripts and applying...
how is the curriculum set up at stritch? are there scores you must maintain? for example at NWTC we had to pass all tests with an 80% average to be successful. what is the nursing program like at cardinal? what if any are the expectations in the classroom and at clinicals? thanks so much! just trying to weigh out my options on the ADN programs in this county! thank you!!! =)
