  1. how is the curriculum set up at stritch? are there scores you must maintain? for example at NWTC we had to pass all tests with an 80% average to be successful. im a transfer student and i wasnt offered a seat at MATC in fall. so now im looking at other options in the area. so what is the nursing program like at cardinal? what if any are the expectations in the classroom and at clinicals? thanks so much! just trying to weigh out my options on the ADN programs in this county! thank you!!! =)

  4. I just petitioned twice at MATC and didnt get it. So frustrating!!!! So now im starting to consider other options i have in the milwaukee county. i just feel like ive wasted a year of my life waiting around to get a seat in the nursing program...i was thinking of transferring to WCTC...i just cant be guaranteed a seat. i just feel so discouraged!
  5. I havent taken the RN NLN yet (have taken the LPN and scored well) but am wondering if you dont store high on the exam are you able to re take the exam again ? can you take the test more than once? also is the NLN exam the only pre req for the admission into the program there? thinking of applying but first going to take the nln exam before i go through the hassle of transferring all my transcripts and applying...
  6. Sick of the waiting list at MATC in Milwaukee! Need advice on other Nursing programs in the Milwaukee area!? Ive petitioned twice now at MATC with no success. Im ready to look at what my options are in the milwaukee area! wondering if anyone else has gotten a headache with MATC and went else where!????
  7. Im trying to compile information together and compare colleges for the nursing programs in the Milwaukee area. How expensive is the schooling? Tuition? How are classes? clinicals? any information would be greatly appreciated! thanks so much =)
  8. If I wanted to apply for admission to Stritch, what qualifications would I need? Courses, etc.?
  9. Could someone please tell me more about the nursing programs in the Milwaukee area? Have considered MATC. Does stritch have an easy curriculum?!?!...I've feel like I've wasted a great deal of time and energy at the technical college. Thank you!!! I look forward to hearing back from you all!!!! =)

  12. Milwaukee Area Technical College. Yeah I just took my Pre NLN and pretty much went into it blind...sad to say so who knows how well i did. I was told today that it is a one time only test. Also that if I dont do well on certain parts, I will have to take remedial courses. Yuck. Tomorrow im meeting with the Associate Dean to discuss the nursing program and if i may be able to waiver some pre-reqs (since it seems every tech school has different pre reqs for programs...doesnt make much sense!) since i was already a nursing student at NWTC (ive taken my nursing pharm and fund)....so we will see. I can only hope that i plea my case and she accept me in without having to take more prereqs...ugh what a headache! how are classes going?!?!?! congrats on getting in! you should be so proud!
  13. Thank you for responding so promptly. :). Are you in the program?!? How do you like it?!? Where have you done clinicals at? I'm set to take my PRE NLN tomorrow. Hoping that goes well and set to meet with my counselor on Thursday. Any suggestions or advice? I hope it doesn't take 3 times to petition. How discouraging!!!!
  14. I'm a transfer student from another technical college. I have already taken the first semester nursing courses (fundamentals and pharmocology). I'm wondering how long if took for you to get into your program...since it is a lottery system...? I'm getting discouraged reading how long it took some people to be chosen.
