Capscare Academy anyone?

Published

Hello. I'm thinking of doing my LPN-RN program at Capscare Academy in FL, anyone doing this program? How is it? Is it a good program? I was told I can take my NCLEX in MD, but it would be under FL NCLEX, then I can "transfer" my license to MD once I pass the NCLEX since it's a compact state? Is this true?

Accredited by what organizations? There's nothing about accreditation on their website.

They have a BON License number on their website so that makes them accredited right?!

No. They are approved not accredited. HUGE difference.

Okay well people still become nurses from there so I'm glad they are able to achieve their goals.

Well, some people become nurses from there ... The most recent NCLEX pass rate, per the FL BON, is less than 36%, so only a little more of a third of the graduating students are "able to achieve their goals." Do you like those odds?

How is it not painfully obvious that NCLEX pass rates as low as that are a clear indication that the "school" is not doing a good job of educating students and preparing them for licensure? Again, in any other US state, the "school" would not be operating with pass rates as low as it has; it would have already been shut down by the state.

Low NCLEX pass rates are scary that's why I said to be Leary. I went to an LPN to RN program and the rates were in the 70s at one point and I was scared. I almost didn't attend but I was able to get through and pass my boards on the first try. One thing I do know about Capscare is that "you teach yourself." Not everyone can do that. The lady that graduated from here told me this. She lives in NY and only went to Fl a few times. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable attending a program like this honestly.

Hello

A co-worker who lives in MD finished the program and she got her license in the state of Maryland. Me and a few other co-workers are thinking about getting into the program. Good luck to you.

Hello I'm curious to know if you are still doing your LPN-RN with Capscare? IF so, ho

w is it going for you? What are your impressions of this program? Any info about the process would be helpful.

Hello Everyone I'm looking to communicate with someone who is in the program. I'm looking to apply to the school but want to what to expect. I understand that many are commenting that this program not real. Can someone response back with any recent information about the school and the nursing program? Thanks

Hello New beginnings2018. I have a coworker who did complete the online program. Shes an RN now in MD. Currently doing an online RN to BSN program. So it is possible.

Everyone should know that New York State is not a compact state so if you take the exam in Florida you can only work in those sate that is compact.

It doesn't matter one iota where the exam is taken. It is a national exam. What matters is the state where you apply for licensure. I could live in Georgia, apply for a license in Mississippi, and take the exam in Louisiana.

Hello. Does anyone know if Capscare Academy is approved or accredited in 2019? It was not in 2018. Thanks
