Can't wait to go to work tomorrow.

Published

I was on my feet shift the whole 8 hours today. It was busy, busy , busy. My shoulders ache, my feet ache, and I'm tired. However, I can't wait to get up in the AM and do it all over again. I love being a nurse. Each day is full of new adventures. I laugh, I cry, and sometimes even complain but I honestly can't imagine doing anything else. I thank God for my career and how He helps me to minister to my patients.

Tonight I shall take a nice to shower, read some stories from "chicken soup for the nurses' soul" and wake up @ 5am to do it all over again. :nurse:

Yay, this thread makes me what to hurry and finish my last year of my BSN degree and start working!! I'm so excited to start my nursing career. I know there are going to be good and bad days but this is my dream and I'm going to take the good with the bad. I love all the positivity ... Keep it up!:D

I'm long past the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed phase but I can"t say I would begrudge it to a new nurse ;)

Depends if the job you choose is a good fit for you and your aspirations. One ward I knew of at the hospital before the one I now work at had a CDiff unit. Nurses resigned from there on a daily basis. Wonder why?

Good luck to you all.

It's good to have posts like this. Some of my favorite CI were still active bedside nurses in the field for 20+ years, 1 is a Nurse Practitioner in the Hospital. They have such passion and enthusiasm still for what they do. It showed me that it is POSSIBLE to still have that Pollyanna attitude that students and new grads are so often put down for, well into your career.

It's so nice to read a positive post. I can't wait to graduate and become a RN!!! I don't currently love my job but I'm hoping that it will get my foot in the door come graduation. Good luck to you and your journey!

My Papa always told me that if you find something you love doing and can get paid for it then you'll never have to work a day in your life.

Mary, if all depends on how many classes you need before you can begin applying. Some people go full-time and others do part-time. I've gone
