hello everyone! so i already took the nclex twice and haven't passed it. i was an average student and graduated in summer 2008. i'm really embarrassed about failing twice because most people who graduated with me passed the first time and i don't want to sign up to take it again because i'm beyond scared to fail again, i'm really really down on myself! if anyone has any helpful hints on how to get prepared again let me know... i've been studying exam cram and saunders a lot.
my 2nd problem is that with the economy being the way it is i am still in retail and broke! i know i can't work as a graduated nurse since i already failed, but i can work as a cna since i graduated school right? i'm not sure but i thought that was the case. and if that's true does anyone know how i would go about getting a certificate for being a cna?
any answers would be fantastic! =)
thanks for your time!
Please dont give up! Im not. And i am trying Suzannes plan. Finishing the first tip right now and shoud be starting with the second part soon. Dont give up! You got through the hardest part..nursing school. I know its hard to pick yourself back up and retake it. Ive been there and alot of people here have too. You can do it. Just go at your own pace and DO NOT be negative with yourself!
You WILL pass!!!
Sorry that you didn't pass the 2nd time, but don't give up!!! I graduated 2 years ago and I'm still trying to pass this test. I just took it today actually for the 3rd time, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Remember you're not alone here and that you CAN pass it! I wish you all the luck in the world!
Don't give up, yet! Give yourself another chance, but this time, take your time and dont rush yourself and study hard!
anyways, i think you can apply as a CNA, just let the employer know that you've been to nursing school and show them proof that you graduated. Also just inform them that your currently preparing for your NCLEX. i dont think you dont need to take CNA class. You've done enough clinicals and I'm sure you dont want to go back to school for that.
GOOD LUCK!
Hi guys, I failed once. I work in group home as a residential instructor. I work with DMR clients. I know they are always looking for people. I don't know how it's called in any state. I enjoy what I do. I have to pass out medication. So yea you have to be med certified by the state. Maybe this will work for some of you who are looking for a job. Also if you look under social work you might find the agency that have these jobs. I work for Institute of Professional Practice in CT.
The other agency that exit out there are Employment Options and Merikash. So good look. I 'm using Suzanne's plan too. I'm not giving up.

I'm in the same boat. But I was able to work as a CNA w/o having a cna certification. So i would check with the hospitals you apply with. And in my experience, i wasnt discrete. The staff knew i was going for my NCLEX, and it got a little annoying bc they would nag me about when i would take it and when i should take it.
Good luck. Dnt give up. Take some tiime to "grieve" and study and try again.
