Can't listen to my lecture... any help?

Published

Due to Snowzilla in the Pittsburgh region, my lecture had been canceled this past Monday. Unfortunately we are still going forward with our scheduled exam next Monday because my instructor posted a podcast of the lecture we were supposed to have. Unfortunately for me, she posted it in a Windows Media Player format and my brandy new Macbook doesn't care to let me listen to it. Does anyone know of a way to convert this or a program I can download to support the file so I don't get stuck out in the water on this exam? I know I can always read the material, which I do, but I just like it to be reinforced with the lecture.

Very simple actually. Just import it into itunes and it will convert it for you.

I was able to search for a quicktime conversion program so I can now listen to it. All that trouble for nothing, since it's pretty much reading straight from the power point. *sigh*

Glad to hear you figured it out.

That is a clever idea - a podcast!

When we lost over half of a 4 hour lecture last week, they just read the slides to us really really fast and skipped several sections. And we're going to be tested on the material, too.

Haha, that's ridiculous. Last semester the instructor I had recorded all of her lectures and it was awesome to listen to in the car before the big test. I think it's fabulous that they do it, but I can read a powerpoint. I'd prefer there to be more than just what's on the paper.

No clinical tomorrow due to Snowzilla part 2... blah, when will it end??

Specializes in IMCU.

I wish my instructors provided podcasts -- but I record them (with their permission of course).
