Perhaps you need help with interview and resume skills?
I don't know where you live, but here in Hampton Roads Virginia, we have way more jobs than nurses!
Amy
i live in chicago. have another interview .
thank you for ur reply . ill focus on those two things. i worked as Rn license pending for 4 months , then i didnt pass the board . i stayed at home i studied then i passed . so i think when i mention on the application that , thats coz delay .
so is it ok not to mention this job on the application. it was easy to get a job as license pending , but now i have my license and its hard.

I would probably not mention not passing the NCLEX on the first try. I would still list the place that you worked as "license pending" but I would just give reason for leaving as "seeking a position with more challeng" or something along the lines of that. I would not mention taking the NCLEX twice. I live in IL also but near Peoria and if you are willing to relocate there are tons of jobs in this area.

Some people do have to wait some time before being accepted in a position. It is highly unfortunate that many are looking for experience; how can you get it if no one offers you a job??
I would mention the other place. Not sure if mentioning that you didn't pass the first time is a good thing or bad. It is a reality that some people do not pass the first time. Maybe you can say that you decided to take off in order to study for the exam. The evidence is that you do, in fact, have your license, now. Good luck!

I know that with all of the medical centers in chicago it can be ver competitive to get a job there. Is it possible for you get a job where you worked while you were waiting to take your boards...if not then try looking at hospitals that hire new grads,.......it may not be in your area but atleast you will have a job

I am going to be honest - advice is hard to dole out since I don't know you. Have you had someone look at your resume for advice? In general, what area do you live in?
