Can you take the NCLEX exam if you have a long hair? (Male)

They wanted to see my ears to check for some type of listening device, and I removed my earrings. You might be asked to put it in a ponytail, but you definitely will be able to take the test.

I'm guessing to make sure I don't have any hidden camera or microphone coz I had on a medium size head clip. Also had to show them my empty pockets before entering the testing room each time.
