the statement, "I understand that you are responsible to the highest level of education"
is not entirely true. I would think it depends on the job title and responsibilities. I have more education than many of the RNs I work with, and I certainly do not have more responsibilities than they do.
LPN is a second career for me; went back to college in my late 50s. My retirement job, so to speak.
I recently passed my LPN boards but am finding that it's impossible to find a job.I work at a hospital as a CNA and my certificate expires in August.
I am planning on doing the LPN-RN program .
I figured it would be best to just keep my current job so I can get tuition reimbursement and so I can have my foot in the door for when I graduate.
My boss said as long as I have a current CNA certificate I am allowed to keep working there (cant work there with an LPN because they don't hire LPNs).
I understand that you are responsible to the highest level of education. My question is, am I able to renew my CNA if I have an LPN? Does anybody have experience with this kind of situation? I live in AZ if that helps :)
I keep both my nursing incense and CNA active. in my state in order to work under a job description of a CNA you
Must be one. While working in a CNA scope I'm not responsible to make nursing judgements. Every state board of nursing has different requirements though!
