how can i be a nurse midwife here in phillipines

hi im joey ayco im a new R.N here in philippines and i want to persue another examination. i want to take a midwifery exam. please help me.

i'm really interested if they have provided nurses with different form for cases. I might finish my cases on the 24th of october. So maybe on the 25th I'll pass my application. I hope I could still catch up.thanks a lot. The interview for this exam makes a lot of examinees anxious..huhuhuhuhuhu. Was is it like?a panel? thanks for the info in advance.

Please go to the PRC so you can inquire if there is a new form. You have to do it ASAP. Nurses who applied at PRC a week before the deadline were not able to take the exam. You have to apply as soon as possible.. Last April. We were interviewed 1on1 by the BOM. I was interviewed by BOM chairman Alejandro San Pedro himself. Just be confident and defend the authenticity of your cases..

I always say, that its the application process thats harder than the actual midwifery exam. LOL..

@cedarebellion, thanks for the tip. Actually I was thinking of passing my application process on the 24th. Having said that I have to do double time for my cases. I was kind of laid back when I learned that Oct 26 was the last day of application. Would it post as a problem if I get most of my cases in private lying in? I only got a few from a government lying in. One more thing, Could I list my suture cases as handle cases as well since i did also handle that particular delivery?Thanks a lot you've been a great help.

The BOM even PREFERS you to use the actual delivery cases for your suturing and IV. Double time before its too late

ive been to PRC to submit my DR cases for the midwifery exam, but, unfortunately, they told me that they got the new form for nurses who wanna take the midwifery exam. Does anyopne have this kind of form? can someone please submit it to me? please? please? thanks a lot. [email protected]

Hi!!!What form did you submit for midwifery boards?Is it the one posted here in this thread?Did you ask the prc people as to what form are they looking for or if they have a copy of such?Was it different from the others submitted in the past board?Thanks so much.

hey I just want to ask if you where did you attend your suture training? I'm also a registered nurse and I'm planning to take the midwifery exam this april 2011 so do you know any place in manila where you could have a suture training? any suggestions would be much appreciated :) God bless

i didn't do suture training. its not needed. the midwife that will sign your forms needs to be trained in suturing.. you will provide a copy of their certificate of training...

it is IV medication not IV insertion
