Can I get into Nursing school with a 3.47 overall GPA?

Published

I have Associates degree in Liberal Arts and graduated with Honors.Im thinking of trying to pursue Nursing again.

Specializes in Endoscopy/MICU/SICU.

Have you started your prereqs yet? Some schools only look at your prereq GPA, so if you haven't started you have a clean slate with these schools. Also, some weigh the prereq GPA more heavily than the overall GPA. Just depends on the school. Check out websites or call admissions advisors for the schools you are thinking about attending. They can give you this info. Also, 3.47 is a great overall GPA!!

not a dumb question....some schools are requiring a GPA of 4.0!! im not saying this to make you worry, as you have a valid question. Your GPA is good, please check your schools criteria, as every school is different... as someone mentioned, science class grades hold a lot of weight. my school required a 3.0 across the board, science as well as ALL classes....check with your school dear....

I have ALL of them.I had an Associates in Liberal Arts and most of my courses are health/science related.

I think it depends on the school you want to go to. Some look at the overall person and other schools just look at the grades. But either way you should go for it.
