Maybe. It all depends on the specific program you're applying to. :)

Sure you can! I was accepted into an accelerated BSN program with a 3.0. What is most important is what your grades in pre req's were and what makes you stand out among the applicants. If you don't have that stand out extracurricular or experence, go get it!

Depends on the program and the competition to get into it. My local BSN program required a 3.0 but rarely admitted anyone with less than 3.5. The community college had a waiting list and as long as you meet the requirements, you get in. Check with the programs you are trying for and see what they say.

Like others have said, i think it depends on the school you're applying to and how competitive it is during the semester you're applying in. But i've known people that got in with an overall gpa of a 3.0. You have a better chance if your science gpa is very high and make a good impression during the interview.

Depends on the program... The trouble is for many of them is that you have two options, they are either by GPA or they are on a wait list (first come first serve). The college I go to, which is an accelerated 15 month program the minimum GPA for this group was a 3.868. For the non accelerated, regular two year program, the cutoff GPA was a 3.75.
Search around... I am sure you will find something that will work, or worst case scenario... Retake one or two classes that you may not have done so well in, and I recommend if they are classes that you can... Take them online, it is a much easier way of getting your GPA up.
Good Luck :wink2:

It really depends on your program. Here in Southern California, a lot of our ADN programs are based on lottery systems, so you just have to meet the basic requirements and then keep your fingers crossed that your name gets picked out of the hat! I applied to 6 programs locally, 5 of them were lottery systems and one was based on GPA. I wasn't picked for any of the lottery systems, but with my 3.8 GPA, I was accepted at the one that accepted based on GPA. 3.47 is a strong GPA, you shouldn't have any trouble! Good luck!
