Sadly, yes it's true that PAF is no longer accepting nurse applicants . This was confirmed by the Director herself. But according to her, in the event that somebody withdraw her/his placement that slot will be opened for anybody who will apply.

Don't lose hope. When God closes the door, he will open a window.

@messageinabox.. were you able to find a boarding house already? I'm thinking to have a companion for me to share an accommodation.. It's kinda hard for now to find a place especially that our work will commence on July 1.. I really felt bewildered when the Director of Civilian Personnel told us that the contract signing will be on June 29 and 30.. was that mean that we really need to find a place before July 1?.. ( sigh..) :yawn: :yawn:. Please enlighten me.. Thanks in advance!! :D

I know Nabunturan, its one town away from us, I live in Monkayo, dont know if your familiar to it. By the way, we already have found a place to stay in Cebu. Its just walking distance to Mactan Airbase

@nurseHarbee.. I know Monkayo.. though I've never went to that place...haha.. Anyway how did you get a place to stay? I mean do you went there personally to inquire? Do they still have available rooms? Kindly send me the details... I'm really eager to find a place..My eyes are very saggy due to searching without finding the right website..haha...:D:D....Thanks in advance.. Hope to see you on June 29 and 30!!

I think they won't be able to entertain applicants at this time. But here's the thing, should there be an application withdrawal or vacancy come June 29 I'll post it here as soon as get home to update you guys. Our contract signing/briefing will be on June 29 and 30 and that's the time they will be able to check if all nursing posts are already filled or if they need additional personnel.

My assignment is in Clark Air Base, Pampanga.

@cathybedrio,

According to a relative of a friend, bedspace rental is P1,500/mo. But this is outside of Clark AB so commuting is still part of the equation. My friends and I are also planning on renting an apartment, co-sharing. We actually have a plan to check on the hospital before June 29 and to scout for apartments. If ever our plans went through, I'll keep you posted.

I just came home from PAF. I didn't see my co-nurses who are assigned in Mactan Air Base.. Most of the people I met we're assigned in Clark, Pampanga.. I'm losing hope on where to find a place for me to stay in Mactan...Anyway see you all on June 29!!! Good bLess to all!!!
