Calling ALL Weatherford College students

I've decided that WC is where I am going to apply in June. I've tallied up my points and after this semester I will have 21. I am going to retake the TEAS and hopfully bring my math & science score up from 70's to 80's. So that would give me 23 points. I've talked to Karen Long and she said everyone with a 22 and up got accepted during the last app period, so I feel pretty good that I've got a decent shot at getting in.

Anyway - I was hoping to keep up with some of the students who are or will be in the WC program, just to give me an idea of what I have to look forward too. Also, it would be great to get to know others who are planning to apply to WC in June... we might be future classmates.

So role call!!!!! Who is in the program?? Who is about to start the program? Who will be applying in June??

ok i have to repeat the math portion of the compass test b/c i failed

i studied adding, multiply, substractin fractions, and i even had my neighbor (who is an accountant) give me a brief tutoring of basic algebra. I did good with learning everything BUT when i got to the college to take my test there were NONE of the things i studies for on there...all it consisted of were questions like "a shirt is $10 wholesale, the store marked it up 30% for the sale, then they had a clearance sale and reduced it 30% of the sale price".....ok i got that one right but all of the questions were like this where you had to find the percentage....i was so mad b/c i studies every single moment i had of free time for this test and none of the stuff was on there.....so now i have to go back next week to retake the math part....arrrrggghhhhh!!!!

i passed the reading part with an 88...thats still low but its passing. Dang i've been out of school for 30 years:bugeyes:...maybe i need to go back to elementary school....or i can just look at my 7 yr olds homework...lol

Oh I hate those percentage questions!! I'm just horrible at them.

Hmmm... my daughter is in 4th grade, maybe I should have her tutor me. LOL!

Got a question - I am taking a CNA class before I start the ADN program this Fall, and I have to buy scrubs... So I was wondering if they are specific on the brand or anything else? Just trying to hit two birds with one stone.

Are you applying in June at WC for Spring admission? What are the application dates? I have been planning to apply at both TCC and WC, but TCC applications are in August. I haven't taken TEAS yet, but have all of my pre-reqs completed.
