  1. Fran, the deadline was April 1st, I'm not going to weatherford, i've decided to look either in Oklahoma (where i'm from) or wait til next spring to apply at weatherford...if you wait til next spring the deadline is Oct 1
  2. ok i have to repeat the math portion of the compass test b/c i failed i studied adding, multiply, substractin fractions, and i even had my neighbor (who is an accountant) give me a brief tutoring of basic algebra. I did good with learning everything BUT when i got to the college to take my test there were NONE of the things i studies for on there...all it consisted of were questions like "a shirt is $10 wholesale, the store marked it up 30% for the sale, then they had a clearance sale and reduced it 30% of the sale price".....ok i got that one right but all of the questions were like this where you had to find the percentage....i was so mad b/c i studies every single moment i had of free time for this test and none of the stuff was on there.....so now i have to go back next week to retake the math part....arrrrggghhhhh!!!! i passed the reading part with an 88...thats still low but its passing. Dang i've been out of school for 30 years:bugeyes:...maybe i need to go back to elementary school....or i can just look at my 7 yr olds homework...lol
  3. ooops....i just realized that ya'll are probably talking about for the ADN program....i need to take the Compass for the LVN program that starts in August
  4. where can i get a "free" copy of the teas test b/c they had to reschedule our testing date from yesterday b/c of a gas leak in the building so i have until thursday to study some more any info would be greatly appreciated!! TIA!! oh...and what classes did you already have completed to get 23 points?.....congrats on getting accepted!!
  5. thanks a bunch!!!!...i hope i'm not making more of it than what it is but i'm nervous......i just want to pass and be accepted in the program
  6. ok so i'm butting in b/c i'm going to weatherford on monday to take my compass test....can you tell me how this test was (if you took it)....what to study for? hopefully i will be accepted in the lvn program in august...
  7. are you talking about the COMPASS test? I'm getting ready to take the compass test on thursday and i was wondering the same thing......i'm nervous that i wont pass it...:chuckle
  8. WOW!!! that is so awsome....CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!!!
  9. I dont know about doing a fast paced summer session with a&p, that will certainly drive me insane..but i might just be crazy and do it to see how it goes! If i take the a&p's in the summer and microbio in the fall then i might as well just apply for the adn/rn program at tcc in stead of weatherfords lvn program. I'm still going to weatherford tomorrow and turn in my transcripts and take the compass and at least see if i get in, it doesnt start till august and in the mean time i'll see about doing the a&p in the summer Thanks for wishing me luck!!
  10. oh i see!!...thanks a bunch!!
  11. Hey everyone, hope this is the right spot for this.. I am currently checking out Weatherford for their LVN Program and they have a compass test you have to take. I was wondering since i've already had college algebra, then do i have to take this test. It seems like its just a placement test to see where you are in math...I will call the school on Monday but wanted to know if anyone knew about the compass test. If i can get out of it, it would be nice..lol I actually only have 3 more science classes to finish before i can apply to an RN Program, I have every class completed except a&PI , a&pII and microbiology but i figured if i go for my LVN, then work for awhile, and then bridge to RN it will be quicker than me taking one science class for the next 3 semesters, then going for RN. I dare not take more than one science at a time, i would die..:chuckle i'm currently at TCC, taking chemistry and have a B so far.. If you can answer about the Compass Test, i would appreciate it....thanks!!
  12. Does anyone know of a good instructor at the NW campus for A&P I. I'm taking it in the fall...thanks!!
  13. Hey did any of you that applied recieve any news yet? I'm so jealous!!...lol
  14. if i get accepted in anybody's nursing program, i dont think i can work and do that at the same time...i've already prepared my hubby that i'm quittin my job.....shoot i'm just a substitute teacher anyway, so it doesnt matter...:chuckle I want to thank everyone again for answering my questions....i'll just chug along and finish up these science classes while i'm still subbing for the school district. I got a website from a parent at my son's school where you can rent your text books then return them at the end of the semester.... www.chegg.com they have rented from them so they can vouch that its a good company...i'ma check them out myself man nursing school sho is expensive..
  15. thank you thank you for all of the info!!.....please post any other info you have as i'm new to texas (from oklahoma) and i dont know much about the schools here. i only have a&p I, and II.....and .....microbiology and i'm done with all of the prereq.... do you HAVE to have medical term and pharm done before you can apply or can you take them once your accepted? sorry for all of the questions.
