oh wow, I didn't even know the TEAS wasn't even required... they don't look at it at all? I took it for no reason LOL

Yeah, I believe they only require a bachelors/masters degree with a 3.0 overall GPA, C and above on prerequisite courses within 7 years, SOP and resume. I was shocked too that they don't require the TEAS.

Anyone familiar with CSUN's application or selection process? Do they only look at your GPA and volunteer experience, since the TEAS isn't required?

My prerequisite GPA isn't as flawless as I would like it to be, and I only have paid health care experience. I have over 3000+ so I just made sure to incorporate it in my statement of purpose.

Besides what's on their website, I can't find a thing about what helps them pick a candidate!

Was reading up the Spring forum, looks like they weigh experience a bit more. Saw people w/ GPA's under 3.5 getting in with lots of volunteer hours. Hopefully everyone's application will shine!

Hi all! I send my transcripts to CSUN. Do I need to call to make sure they get to the nursing department? Thanks!

I sent all my transcripts electronically and it took about a week before it showed up on my portal. You can always call just to make sure though.

hi all!! commenting to follow ?

Hi everyone,

I'm also applying this term! Best of luck to you all!!

Hi everyone. I also applied. Good luck to everyone.

Does anyone know when the interviews will take place?

From what I read, it looks like their admissions process is changing every cycle. For the last cycle, they invited some applicants to do a video application and they received the invitation around three months before the start date so I'm assuming it'll be the same.

Hi! I wanted to comment to follow since I'll be applying next month too! I don't know if this would be helpful but is anyone interested in sharing stats? ?

Is anyone taking a class this Spring 2021 and is applying for the Fall 2021 cohort?

I am curious, because I reached out to the College of Extended Learning regarding my transcripts and was told that no coursework, regardless if it is a prerequisite or not, should be in progress by the application deadline. I looked at their admission requirements again and it says that "all pre-requisite coursework must be reflected on transcripts by the application deadline, and no in-progress pre-requisite courses, or degrees, will be considered."

It specifically mentioned prerequisite courses and degree should not be in progress when applying. However, the course that I am taking right now does not apply towards those two. I received my BS in Health Science and finished all my prerequisites in 2019. I am taking a class this semester just because I thought it's interesting.

I sent another email but I'm curious if anyone is in the same situation.

Question - Do we need to complete the FAFSA? The deadline to renew for the upcoming school year is coming up soon.
