Hi everyone! My name is Monica and I wanted to make this forum for everyone applying to the fall 2021 semester of CSUN ABSN. Good luck everyone ?

My prerequisite GPA isn't as flawless as I would like it to be, and I only have paid health care experience. I have over 3000+ so I just made sure to incorporate it in my statement of purpose.
Besides what's on their website, I can't find a thing about what helps them pick a candidate!

I sent all my transcripts electronically and it took about a week before it showed up on my portal. You can always call just to make sure though.

Does anyone know when the interviews will take place?
From what I read, it looks like their admissions process is changing every cycle. For the last cycle, they invited some applicants to do a video application and they received the invitation around three months before the start date so I'm assuming it'll be the same.
Is anyone taking a class this Spring 2021 and is applying for the Fall 2021 cohort?
I am curious, because I reached out to the College of Extended Learning regarding my transcripts and was told that no coursework, regardless if it is a prerequisite or not, should be in progress by the application deadline. I looked at their admission requirements again and it says that "all pre-requisite coursework must be reflected on transcripts by the application deadline, and no in-progress pre-requisite courses, or degrees, will be considered."
It specifically mentioned prerequisite courses and degree should not be in progress when applying. However, the course that I am taking right now does not apply towards those two. I received my BS in Health Science and finished all my prerequisites in 2019. I am taking a class this semester just because I thought it's interesting.
I sent another email but I'm curious if anyone is in the same situation.

Yeah, I believe they only require a bachelors/masters degree with a 3.0 overall GPA, C and above on prerequisite courses within 7 years, SOP and resume. I was shocked too that they don't require the TEAS.
