Hi everyone! My name is Monica and I wanted to make this forum for everyone applying to the fall 2021 semester of CSUN ABSN. Good luck everyone ?

My checklist has not been updated. I did receive a confirmation email letting me know they retrieved one of my transcripts but it still appears as missing on my checklist.

If you got confirmation emails for all your transcripts, I'd say wait until Thursday to send them an email as they may update it by then.

Hey all, I had a question regarding the personal statement. Did you guys answer in the order of how the questions were listed or just made sure to incorporate an answer for each regardless or order?

I don’t think it matters, just make sure to incorporate answers to all of the questions.

One other question, are any of you submitting transcripts from any of the Los Angeles CC'S?

I saw on the transcripts section that if we are applying for admission to CSUN, they will request our e-transcripts from the schools at the time we submit our online application and they will be sent to them automatically.

Did anyone else send their CC transcripts a different way? I know it says they only accept e transcripts though e-transcript California.

Hello! 

I had to send e-transcripts via Parchment through my CC account as LACC does not participate in eTranscript California!  

If you click on the link that takes you to the eTranscript California page there will be two lists towards the bottom. List 2 includes CC's that do participate in eTranscript California. So if your CC is not in list 2 just send E-transcripts via whatever service they offer.

No problem :)!

Are you looking at list 1 or 2? (LACC is only in list 1)

List 2 is the eTranscript CA participating schools.

Yeah LACC is in list one. Ohh thats confusing.. Since list one says "The following California community colleges will automatically send e-transcripts at CSUN's request at the time you submit your application for CSUN admission". I thought that meant they're part of the participating schools and we do not have to request them. ?

Yea, it is a bit confusing. I think thats just in general/may apply to specific depts./undergrad students as the nursing application instructions page states this:

"Send directly from your school/electronic service/approved vendor to [email protected] OR by selecting Tseng College-CSUN, if the option is available."  

Also this is what my checklist says in regards to my CC's: Please contact the school(s) listed below and request an official transcript be sent to CSUN electronically.

They only mention eCalifornia in case our CC(s) do participate in it, so we can have them sent free of charge on our behalf. Otherwise, we have to request them ourselves.

Of course! If you haven’t requested them already do it asap as with CC’s it takes a bit more time for them to be sent over and processed.

I am curious, because I reached out to the College of Extended Learning regarding my transcripts and was told that no coursework, regardless if it is a prerequisite or not, should be in progress by the application deadline. I looked at their admission requirements again and it says that "all pre-requisite coursework must be reflected on transcripts by the application deadline, and no in-progress pre-requisite courses, or degrees, will be considered." 

It specifically mentioned prerequisite courses and degree should not be in progress when applying. However, the course that I am taking right now does not apply towards those two. I received my BS in Health Science and finished all my prerequisites in 2019. I am taking a class this semester just because I thought it's interesting. 

I sent another email but I'm curious if anyone is in the same situation. 

Hi there I'm in a similar situation! I'm currently taking an in-progress course that is not a prerequisite course for CSUN. Do I send the transcript even though it's still in-progress? And do I need to send the final transcript once again after the class finishes and grades are posted?
