Just wanted to start a forum for those planning to apply for the ABSN program at CSUN during Spring 2021.

They don't have an ABSN program for second bachelor's applicants. You can apply for the same application pool as the first bachelor's undergrad applicants (same as CSUCI and SDSU)! They do not take science retakes, so I couldn't apply ?

^^This.  It's a five-semester program (CSUN is 4) and if you do the trimester option, it's only another couple of months longer.

Just got the email - I'm on the waitlist for CSUN as well.

Just received a waitlist notification. Previously did the video interview component. Not the highest number on the waitlist but keeping optimistic! Good luck to everyone waiting for their acceptances!

I only received the email telling me I am on the waitlist

Hi Everyone! Congrats to everyone that got accepted. Also for those who didn't, don't give up! Continue to strive and you'll get where you need to be in no time. I received my acceptance letter a couple of days ago, and am super excited to begin this new journey. It honestly doesn't feel real. I can't wait to meet all my new classmates! we'll definitely get through the intense program together :) Also, I was asked to do a video interview if anyone was curious.

Didn't get in ? But I'm not surprised, as my undergraduate GPA was not competitive. At least I can say I tried! To those of you that got in, good luck! I hope you guys become amazing, caring healthcare professionals ❤️

I got my acceptance letter yesterday around 5. It’s been complete disbelief, excitement, gratitude and joy. For those who were denied, Continue to push through and keep a high vibe! You’ll get there and into the program you’re meant to be in! 
 

Does anyone know if the first semester will be online? I heard all CSUs are online right now even for the Spring.

Congrats on getting in! I'm currently a student and yes, Spring and most likely Summer will be online.

@raethehug to clarify you are in the ABSN Program and it’s all online? Do you have clinicals or are they postponed?

Hi! Yes, current ABSN student. Lecture online, labs every other week in person, yes to clinicals but theres a catch- some of us are at hospitals and others are at flu shot clinics.
