  1. Hey everyone! Just letting you all know that I decided to go to CSULB and am starting classes next week, so I withdrew my UCLA application from consideration and will be unfollowing this thread. Thanks to all of you for the support, and BEST OF LUCK to everyone!!
  2. Great!! Thank you @Northalpine2 - much appreciated!
  3. @Northalpine2 Thank you so much for this - very helpful advice. May I ask - what did your weekly schedule look like while in school? I ask because I am preparing to speak with my (corporate day job) supervisor to ask to move to a part-time schedule, and it would be helpful to give them some color on about how many hours/week I'll be available. Looking at the schedule of classes, it appears that for the first semester, we'll have only one lecture/week for both NRSG 200 and 305, plus one prep day and one clinical day. Then whatever else is required for Nutrition. Is that accurate or am I missing something? I wish I didn't have to work at all, but life, rent, etc...
  4. all good! it's pretty quiet for now but I anticipate it getting more lively as we get into school/get started.

  6. That's right - and I hear you on that! My email also said that I may not get an update on whether or not I'm admitted until "two weeks from now" - that was a week ago, so mid-next week I'd hope to know for sure. However, the email also didn't promise anything, so it's always possible that some folks from the waitlist don't get accepted this year, or that an acceptance doesn't come till super late. Sorry - I know it's frustrating ?
  7. I got an email back saying that in the past, all of the people on the waitlist were accepted, because lots of folks accept their admission and then withdraw their acceptance later for other reasons (financing, etc). I would stick with it for a little while longer. One of my friends who attends another school got notified of his acceptance super late, like after orientation, so I think that it's pretty typical for lots of jockeying to happen even up to the last minute.
  8. Yes, thanks, @hsinyofu! @Artemesiac that’s the way it sounds to me, too. Re: HepB and MMR... 1) I never had to get the HepB vaccine, and 2) I’m so old that my vaccination records from when I was a kid are in handwritten form!! LOL they’re totally not going to accept that as proof, so regardless of whether or not we have to present titers, it looks like I have a bunch of those as well as vaccines in my future. I may also have to get the TdaP. I had it in 2015 (when I was pregnant with my youngest), but UCLA doesn’t have the records regarding which brand they gave me, grr ? so it might be more cost effective to just get a booster.
  9. yes! this ? We will get all the info at the freakin 7 1/2 HOUR orientation on the 12th. Re: immunizations, I think I remember them saying that some people don't get accepted off the waitlist until the week before classes start, so no way will they make us all have our documentation in by 12/1. @Artemesiac OMG HAHAHA that is amazing!! For all the newly accepted folks who haven't had a chance to read through old posts - join us in the FB group! CSULB BSN Spring 2021
  10. I don't think it matters, but I would recommend choosing TEAS at PSI so that you take it in a testing facility rather than online at home. (Double check first that the testing facilities haven't gone back on lockdown. You can find that info out on the PSI Testing website.)
  11. @HH GioChea someone mentioned having to take the TEAS online... I took mine in July in person at a testing center in Glendale (wearing masks of course). After you pay for your exam on the ATI website, they should direct you to the PSI website to schedule your exam. From there, you should be able to search for open testing centers near you. I would highly recommend going to a testing center - someone else I know recently took the TEAS from home and mentioned how much more challenging it was due to distractions (pets, outside noise, etc). At least at a testing center, it's more of a controlled environment. Just my two cents...
  12. ^^This. It's a five-semester program (CSUN is 4) and if you do the trimester option, it's only another couple of months longer. Just got the email - I'm on the waitlist for CSUN as well.
  13. I'm in the same boat. Had a video interview but no word yet. Thankfully, I've been accepted at another CSU so there IS a path forward for me, no matter what happens ?
