Hi All,

Just wanted to start a forum for those planning to apply for the ABSN program at CSUN during Spring 2021.

Hi everybody! 

Just got my acceptance letter as well in both my personal and csun email. Congrats to everyone who got accepted and I'm looking forward to meeting you all. I also did the video interview a few weeks ago. For those who didn't don't lose focus and keep on applying!

Hello,

I graduated with an overall of a 3.4 and prerequisite average of 3.4 as well. Not the best since my first two years of college were pretty rough. My last 60 units were fairly strong (I believe 3.8-3.9 range), but IDK if they took that into account. I have 0 volunteer hours that were related to healthcare. I did however have plenty of healthcare experience, worked at a hospital as a patient transporter for a year and a half and I've been working under a cardiologist as a medical assistant for about 6 months. Approximately 2500 hours in the healthcare field. 

As for the Statement of Purpose, I really worked my hardest on that. What I did was mainly tie in my reason as to why I wanted to become a nurse to the current positions and experiences that I've had in healthcare. Hopefully this helps a little bit. Good luck on your future endeavors!

Got my rejection letter as well. Honestly super sad considering I have a bunch of experience and nearly perfect grades. I wish they'd give us feedback as to why the reject us hahaha oh well. thankfully I applied to more places but we shall see. T____T what a stressful day this has been.

Hello everyone! First and foremost, congrats. To all those who applied, considering nursing and who made it this far regardless of their position in the program. The application process alone is not easy and you all are incredible for grinding it out! 

I got my acceptance letter yesterday around 5. It’s been complete disbelief, excitement, gratitude and joy. For those who were denied, Continue to push through and keep a high vibe! You’ll get there and into the program you’re meant to be in! 
 

Does anyone know if the first semester will be online? I heard all CSUs are online right now even for the Spring.

Congratulations to everyone accepted this term on your hard work and dedication! Sadly, I’ve been turned away as well. But, to echo the sentiments of everyone here — don’t be discouraged. This isn’t a final no, it’s a not yet. If anyone applied to MSMU or APU for 2021, maybe I’ll see you there. 

For those who had a video interview and were rejected, did they at least waitlist you for Fall 2021? Just curious.

I received a video interview and haven’t heard anything back yet. No rejection or acceptance. I’m really not sure what to think right now! I would think maybe I am waitlisted or a candidate for waitlist but a friend of mine  who received no interview hasn’t heard back either.

I'm in the same boat.  Had a video interview but no word yet.  Thankfully, I've been accepted at another CSU so there IS a path forward for me, no matter what happens ?

Just found out I’m on the waitlist. I have a pretty good position so I am trying to have hope!

if anyone is admitted and isn’t going to go/ knows someone who isn’t going to go please let me know! I’ve heard of one person from Reddit
