Hello!! 

I wanted to start a forum for those applying to CSULA's ABSN program this upcoming Summer ?
Hope we can all encourage one another and cheer each other on! We can do it!

I was too lazy to make an account until I got my acceptance! Thank you for making this thread. I've been following this thread since the beginning. Excited to meet you all soon :) can't wait to join the fb group.

And for those that are on the waitlist or got rejected, please keep trying. You are more than your stats, my GPA is a 3.2. Get good clinical experience as a CNA and learn as much as you can from the position about patient care and patient safety. Study for the TEAS, do whatever you need to get a high score. Most importantly, always remember your "why nursing." Reflect this in your personal statement and when interviewing through story telling. And, if you have more interviews, dress as if it were a job interview and treat is as such, but most importantly be yourself and demonstrate your humanity and kindness. Also, get good letter of recommendation from people who can speak strongly about your academic abilities, persistence, and resiliency.

I got waitlisted. Bummed, for sure, but I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep on working on building up my exp regardless. Congrats to everyone who got in! No doubt we all worked really hard to get to this point so feel proud of the accomplishment. Onwards and upwards ?

I'm waitlisted too. I wonder what our chances of getting in are. Guess we will have to wait 1 more week to find out

If we were waitlisted does anyone know when we would find out if we were extended a spot in the program? I got waitlisted and now I'm stressing out praying to get a spot.

I'm a waitlister too. I'm guessing those who got the acceptance letter have to give their answer by the 29th? So, we'll probably find out by the end of next week...? I'm so stressed out and just want to know for sure if I have a chance or not

Hello! 

I am planning to apply next cycle and wanted to see if anyone was in a similar situation this cycle. I recently decided to switch careers so I am currently at community college finishing up some of the prereqs. I have the metrics, but sadly not much healthcare experience (besides scribing). Do I still have a shot? :^( Thanks for the help!

Hey yall, congratulations to everyone who got their letter. Wait-listers, don't give up! Last year, some folks didn't get an acceptance until a week or two after initial decisions.
