I'm waitlisted too. I wonder what our chances of getting in are. Guess we will have to wait 1 more week to find out

When you replied to be waitlisted, did you receive an email confirmation?

When I replied the night of I never received any sort of confirmation. I sent a follow up email today so hopefully I hear back. Did you receive a confirmation email?

No I didn't receive a confirmation email, but from what I've read in threads from previous years it seems like other waitlisters didn't get confirmation emails. I'm so nervous for Thursday. I just want to know already

I had a last-minute interview this morning because of issues with my application and I just received my acceptance letter!!

Excited to meet you all!

Has anyone made a facebook page? And in terms of housing does anyone plan on moving closer to LA for the program?

I made one! I'll share it after work tonight.

I'm from the bay area, so I'd have to move! I was looking into studios/1 BR apartments since I have a cat, but they're pretty expensive. He's gonna be my emotional support getting through the program LOL. Unsure if anyone is familiar/willing to live with a very chonky cat ?

Hi all!

I've been accepted to the program as well! Three years of trying to get into an ABSN program and the hard work and patience finally paid off ? I'm excited and nervous all at the same time, but I can't wait to meet you all!

Hello!

I am planning to apply next cycle and wanted to see if anyone was in a similar situation this cycle. I recently decided to switch careers so I am currently at community college finishing up some of the prereqs. I have the metrics, but sadly not much healthcare experience (besides scribing). Do I still have a shot? :^( Thanks for the help!

I'd say you definitely have a shot! Healthcare experience helps but I really think they're looking at the applicant as a whole! My most recent healthcare experience was actually at a private PT clinic and they still accepted that. Definitely still apply! ? Good luck on the pre-reqs! And I would also study hard for the TEAS. CSULA has pretty high standards for the test compared to other schools I applied to. I hope that helps ?

I just requested to join!

I have a similar story, switched careers last year and immediately went back to CC, finished prereqs (4.0 for pre-reqs, 3.6 cumulative), took my TEAS (95% total score, 99% percentile), and got my CNA license by the end of the year. I also have years of volunteer experience abroad. But, it's taken me a long time to finally secure a CNA job I could get to, leaving that part of my app as the weakest. I got waitlisted. So, my opinion (please take it with a grain of salt!) is that yes you have a chance and you should keep going full speed ahead! Yes rock the tests and classes, for sure. But if you can, I'd say go grab as much relevant experience as you're able, wherever/ whenever/ however. It'll likely only help! Oh and apply to as many schools/programs as you can, competition is high and spots are few.
