California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) Hayward - Fall 2025 BSN Program

Published

Hi everyone! I noticed there hasn't been a topic started for CSUEB (Hayward), so I thought I'd get things rolling. I've already applied and thought it would be great for us to share stats and ask any questions we might have.

For my stats:

Paid Medical Experience: Over 550 hours

Science GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 3.7

TEAS Score: 85.4%

CSUEB is the only BSN program I applied to—everything else is ADN. Wishing everyone the best of luck! 😊

Thanks for starting this! The months of waiting to hear are so rough and having people to commiserate with is helpful.

Our stats are pretty much identical!

Healthcare experience: 1000+ hrs

Science GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 3.7

TEAS: 87.3%

I've applied to EB, LMC, and CCC for Fall. I applied to SFSU (rejected) and EB for the Spring and was waitlisted for EB (never got off the list). So I'm desperately hoping to get in to one of these 3 for the Fall!! Good luck everyone!

hi! thank you for starting this, im applying to lmc, east bay, sfsu, san jose state and sac state

my stats are:

Healthcare experience: 500+ hrs

Volunteer experience: 140+ hrs

Science GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 94.7%

Bilingual in Spanish

Its going to be a long 3 months. Good luck to everybody!!

Hi everyone!

Thank you for sharing your stats. I am only applying to CSUEB. I am an international student studying in local CCC (maximum course credits from local CCC).

My stats are:

TEAS: 85.7%
Paid community work: 500+
Science GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 3.87

Bilingual

The long wait for 3 months feels stressful. Good luck everyone!!

Hi all,

Did anyone hear back yet?

I haven't heard anything yet. This wait is killing me!!

someone on reddit said they received a rejection letter so I think now they are just narrowing it down and focusing on personal statements

Did anyone else apply to ADN programs too?

By the grace of God, if I get into CSEB, I'll be beyond grateful, but I feel like most ADN programs in our area don't release their decisions until closer to May. I'm curious to hear how others are approaching this.

If you get into CSEB, would you take the offer and run with it, or would you wait to hear back from ADN programs? I'm not sure how long CSEB gives you to accept your seat before you lose it. Does anyone know if you can commit to CSEB by paying a deposit and then, if you get into an ADN program, just forfeit the deposit and switch? Not sure if that's even an option.

My top choice is Los Medanos since it's closer to me and cost, but I've always dreamed of going to CSEB. The tough part is that Los Medanos doesn't release admissions decisions until almost June. 😭

Would love to hear from others in a similar situation!

Hi do you happen to have the link for that reddit ? I was trying to find one, but they all looked from last year 🙂

Hi, here you go!

I also applied to lmc and it sucks that they release them so late, I just received my phase 1 score breakdown. If all goes well with east bay I will accept my seat but I will continue to see if LMC sends out acceptance. My only thing with LMC is the trouble many new grads are having finding jobs and securing residency program spots 😞 I feel like it would maybe be easier with a BSN program but still almost just as hard so I am still not on what I would do. As long as one program accepts me hopefully LOL

@Tara.M So I am also waiting on EB, and if by some miracle I get in I will accept admission and start whatever steps I need. However, if I am the recipient of a double miracle (LOL) and also get in to LMC I will accept admission there and withdraw from EB. At first I thought it would be rotten to do that, but ultimately it would allow someone from the waitlist in, so I don't feel super guilty about it. LMC has a concurrent enrollment program with EB as well, so that is my #1 choice. It's close to home and I am familiar with the school/campus.

Good luck, and I hope you get in! I'm a second semester CSUEB nursing student at the Hayward campus. I received my acceptance letter on 3/14 at 3pm. My friend was waitlisted the very same day, so they're gonna send both acceptance and waitlist decisions. He was given a latest possible date of August 9 before they accept or reject him. Fortunately, he was offered a spot two months later. Let me know if you have any questions!

@khazixlovr Thank you! I was also waitlisted for Spring but never made it off the list, but I'm feeling hopeful for Fall!
