Hello everyone, I wanted to make a forum for us applying to CSUEB's Spring 2025 cohort for the BSN program to hopefully discuss the application and maybe some other questions we have. It might be helpful for us and future applicants as well!

Hi! Kind of a random question but I am having trouble picking 'nursing' as my major to the CSUEB university application. There is no nursing majors showing so I was just going to pick health science. What did you pick as your major when submitting that application?

Hi! Is it for the general CalState application? If so, I have it added as just "Nursing", which shows up when I type it up on the search bar. For NursingCAS for me it says "Pre-licensure BSN".

Sure! 4.0 GPA, 89.3 TEAS, around 200 hours of volunteer experience, bilingual and local. I think that is around 130 points? Really hoping I could get in!

That's great! Best of luck to you! I have around a 3.8 GPA, 89.9 on TEAS, and around 450 hours of paid phlebotomy experience, bilingual and local. 

Question: How do we calculate points?

4.0 GPA, 96.7% TEAS, 1000 hours CNA, bilingual and local. 
I've talked to EB Nursing department's administrator a couple of times, she said they'll pick the top 120 students based on their grades and experiences, and then send 49 students offers according to their personal statements. I think EB's personal statement was difficult, what do you all think about the personal statement questions?
