California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) Hayward - Fall 2025 BSN Program

Published

Hi everyone! I noticed there hasn't been a topic started for CSUEB (Hayward), so I thought I'd get things rolling. I've already applied and thought it would be great for us to share stats and ask any questions we might have.

For my stats:

Paid Medical Experience: Over 550 hours

Science GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 3.7

TEAS Score: 85.4%

CSUEB is the only BSN program I applied to—everything else is ADN. Wishing everyone the best of luck! 😊

got my acceptance as well!! so happy for everyone

Oh my gahhh! I can't wait to meet you guys!! I did it!! Bawling my eyes out!

I got in too! What an emotional roller coaster this has been.... Congratulations everyone!!

congrats yall! I didn't get in but luckily I got into an ADN program down the coast, soo excited for you guys!!

hi, does anyone have insight on the differences between CSUEB and SFSU beyond just the location or length of the program? If you chose East Bay, what helped you make that decision?

Hello! Thank you so much for providing lots of information!

I still have some questions about the program and it'd be great to hear your advice.

1- How are students assigned to clinical sites? Is it by lottery, GPA, or alphabetical order?

2- Are there opportunities to request certain sites or specialiies?

3- Is it possible to get through the program and clinical sites without a car, and do you know how students who don't have a car manage to do so?

4- Most class are in person or online?

I know it's a lot of questions and I apologize in advance.

I would love to know what your experience has been like so far.

Thank you so much!

Okay, I definitely cut it close 😅 I was holding off to see if I'd get into any other programs. I sent in my acceptance on the 28th and got an email on the 29th saying to check the site for the official admission confirmation, but I still don't see it yet. Hopefully it shows up by tomorrow since that's the deadline! Anyone else wait until the last minute? Woopsy 😬

@Tara.M so I did mine a while ago but I think ask long as you responded to the nursing dept by the deadline you'll be fine. From what I've hear the school admissions dept is able to be more flexible and can help you figure it out. I would probably call admissions in the morning because I'm anxious LOL but I'm pretty sure you'll be good!

It took a few weeks to get the info on background checks and all the other stuff. The background check is due 5/15 though, so I imagine it will be sent to you soon. There's a ton of other things to get done but most are due 6/30.
