wassup!! i heard about that school however i dont really know how they are...im going to Stanbridge college here in Irvine...some of our teachers here are really good some are not and the management/administration really sucks ... hope youlle find it good .GL

I just started West Coast in Nov. I love it ! It is a challenging school and really make you learn your stuff. I'm at the los angeles campus. They are making new classrooms. One of the older classrooms (that wasn't in that bad of shape), over the holidays got new paint,carpet,blinds, and AC. They take pride in thier campus.

The physiology class that I have been taking is really hard. The professor really makes you learn everything. The good thing is the school offers tutoring as part of the program if you want it.

I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about this program. The only thing is it is really hard. It will be worth it once I'm a RN.

I start classes at WCU on Feb. 4, so I can't comment yet about teachers. However, the staff has been very helpful and supportive so far. I'm one of those people who asks alot of questions, and I've been very satisfied with the answers. I don't feel like I've been given the runaround or blown off.

Started last February have 6 more months.

In my opinion this place is not worth the money you pay.

The quality of education is sub-standard. As for the prerequisite classes all you need to do is show up and you will pass them regardless if you fail all the exams. I guess that's fine for some, but do you really want that nurse to be the one taking care of you or loved ones.

If you go there you are basically paying $60,000 to be able to take the boards.

This is a self taught program. With instructors who read word for word off powerpoints (i.e. Physiology professor) and if they are asked to explain what they just lectured on they just reread the powerpoint again. Not all instructors there are bad there is a few good instructors that really try to teach you the subject (i.e. microbiology professor). But for $60,000 you would think that you would be getting a quality education but that's not the case there.

As for the administrative staff that's even more of a joke. Sure they're helpful when it comes to taking you money. But as soon as you have a problem with an instructor it's them against you. They have no student handbook with the school rules & policies. And nothing is written in stone there. You may have the same grade average as a classmate but they may get an A and you a B in the same class. But don't bother going to the dean about that, you're just out of luck.

If you really want to do this program take all your prerequisite at a community college. This will save you around $30,000 plus you will be 10 times better off then must of your classmates who took them at West Coast University.

wow. Your the first person I have talked to that has had anything bad to say about them. I will say that physiology was tough. I didn't think I learned all that much from it, until last week when my Grandma had a heart attack and I understood some of the physiological aspects of what was going on. I wouldn't have understood on the same level if it hadn't been for that class.

I just toured today. I'm actually in an LVN to BSN program that's going to take me 3 years to finish and they promised to have me out by next summer ( I have a lot of the prereqs done already) So, I'm probably starting there next month.

It seems like a very nice campus, and I was impressed they didn't try to butter you up and make it sound easy. They were honest that it was hard program, but worth it.

Hi ! What classes do you have left of your prerequesites. I'm graduating next June. West Coast is a harder school, but they really care. They are constantely having us take survey's and talk to us about what we think of the program and how to improve it. I've had a really positive experience here so far since I started in Nov 07. Good luck.
