Providence New Grad January 2016

Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything back from any of the Providence Medical Centers.

I got a call yesterday and they asked me what my preference in hospitals was and I told them I would be happy working for any of their hospitals and they asked me what I wanted to specialize in and I told them pediatrics. They told me they would set me up with Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance and I would get a call back soon. My friend got scheduled an interview for another Providence Medical Center for their med surg unit and now I'm starting to worry that I made a mistake and I'm not going to get an interview because I said I wanted to specialize in pediatrics

I got hired at Providence Holy Cross and the start date is January 11th for me. I'm super stoked to be a part of such an awesome organzation! Now to figure out my living situation as I'm originally from San Diego. Apartment hunting is tough but not as tough as job hunting!

I have accepted a job with Holy Cross as well!! It sounds like the new grads from the different Providence hospitals will be together for at least some of the training. Has anyone started any sort of group communication? Facebook or otherwise? I can't wait for January!!

I got hired at providence St. John's but we start Jan 4th

Does anyone know how the work environment is at Little Company of Mary Torrance? Also, how does one get more information on their benefits? I know there is a website but it seems like the info is limited when you visit the site as a guest.

I liked working there but it really depends on the unit you will be on. Also benefits are pretty good, they have 2 hmo options and an hsa, what unit will you be on
