Providence New Grad January 2016

Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything back from any of the Providence Medical Centers.

I got a call yesterday and they asked me what my preference in hospitals was and I told them I would be happy working for any of their hospitals and they asked me what I wanted to specialize in and I told them pediatrics. They told me they would set me up with Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance and I would get a call back soon. My friend got scheduled an interview for another Providence Medical Center for their med surg unit and now I'm starting to worry that I made a mistake and I'm not going to get an interview because I said I wanted to specialize in pediatrics

It was at st joseph in burbank

it was for their TIP program

i only have an ADN with an active license

ans i did specified that the highest degree i have is ADN although im getting my BSN next month

i did two clinical rotations at Little company of Mary

I really wonder how many New grads they are hiring and how many were picked for an interview

I only applied to Torrance and San Pedro TIP programs. Haven't heard a word yet but I have to say it makes me feel more confident knowing you got called for an interview with an ADN. The job market here is brutal. I had three offers before I left Virginia. They don't seem to have the same issues with new grads as SoCal does.

my friend who i am going to csulb received calls from pedro one She applied for TIP

she received two calls for two different positions too at San Pedro she only has an ADN at this very moment and shes getting her BSN next month just like me

she was interviewed at San Pedro location twice last week

i think my clinical roations at Providence helpe me getting picked more than anything The fact that I am getting my BSN before the program starts played a certain role too

hmmm... that doesn't bode very well for me that interviews have already been conducted and I have yet to hear but I won't give up hope.

Yea i didnt want to put you down by mentioning my classmate being interviewed already but thought i should tell you about it since thats where you applied to

i also found it being weird that she was interviewed for two different positions

i also applied there too and never heard from them too

this makes me think they check your location and have the closest hopistal contact you

My classmate who was interviewed at san pedro lives in torrance

i live in pasadena so i was interviewed by burbank

dont lose your hopes yet, i have been applying since august and i was only interviewed 3 times out of hundreds of apps i submitted

I meant i turned down a few requests for interview since it was kinda too far

You will get a job eventually Just be patient :)

Hi all. I just got my offer letter for the TIP program. So excited to be starting soon!!! I'll be working on the medical surgical floor with a start date of January 11. Has anyone else gotten a call back or an offer letter? Hope to use this thread to meet some of my future co-workers. Oh and this is for St.Joseph btw if you were wondering :)

I had an interview there thursday and after my interview they gave me a tour of the floor. I followed up yesterday with the nurse manager ----------------- and she told me I would hear from talent acquisition sometime this week. Later on in the day I decided to give them a call, they didn't pick up so I left a message and within minutes I got a call back offering me the job. Then today I got my offer letter. So I can't wait to see whats next. Did you follow up with talent acquisition about your status?

Talent acquisition is the people that called you to set up the interview and also the people that emailed you about the interview. Call the number they gave you and ask if they made a decision yet. Hope this helps. I also followed up with ----------------- by calling the hospital and asking for her number. She didn't pick up so I left a message. Then what she did was email me back and then she called talent acquisition for me basically telling them to hurry up and offer me the job already lol. So she had my back. Hope you get the job!
