Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything back from any of the Providence Medical Centers.

I got a call yesterday and they asked me what my preference in hospitals was and I told them I would be happy working for any of their hospitals and they asked me what I wanted to specialize in and I told them pediatrics. They told me they would set me up with Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance and I would get a call back soon. My friend got scheduled an interview for another Providence Medical Center for their med surg unit and now I'm starting to worry that I made a mistake and I'm not going to get an interview because I said I wanted to specialize in pediatrics :cry:

Ohh i see

I called the talent aquisition on monday and talked to -------------- who emailed me about interview process She said she will follow up once she hears from ---------------

ill give ------------------ a call tomorrow and ask if she has came to a decision

Just to update they interviewed 15 candidates for 3 positions to fill

i got a call from recruiter saying that

the nurse manager said I was 4th out of 15 candiates and since they only have 3 positions to fill, they can not take me but i guess the nurse manager liked me so much she recommended me at different providence

so i was set up with an interview at San Pedro little company of mary yesterday and They offered me a job today

im sooooooooo happy, the starting rate is $41.50/ hour although i dont really care about the money

So please keep hunting everyone it took me a good 5 months after hundreds of applications submitted but i do

think that BSN graduate by the end of 2nd week of this month really helped me gettting picked as well as two semester clinical rorations at PLCM @ torrance

Congrats! For the starting rate, does that include things like night differential?

Does anyone know if Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance (or Providence in general) has a contract to stay at the hospital for a certain number of years?

No contract required at PLCMSP

But with the feelings of apprciation in hiring new grad nurses i will be here for a long time
