2010 is fast approaching so I think there must be a new thread for 2010 new grad program. I hope the moderators will allow me to post this new thread. I'm currently working at Monrovia Memorial Hospital which is 40 miles away from our apt. We live here in Playa del Rey, near the LAX and unfortunately I don't drive yet. I'm looking for any hospitals that offers new grad program for next year. I'm not even sure if I'm still qualified for a new grad program because it will be my 8th month this Jan. working at Monrovia Memorial. Anyone could share any info..Thanks..

-CPMC SF has an opening for a new grad in their acute rehab unit

-UC San Diego medical center cancelled their April new grad programs but says they'll have another one in July and begin applying in May

Is there anybody who works at Sharp healthcare? I would like to ask how you like it there and what they pay for a new grad rn is?

Other hospitals that I found that have upcoming new graduate programs (all are in the SoCal area)

-Good Samaritan LA

-Cedars Sinai

-Alvarado Hospital

NorCal area:

-Seton Hospital in Daly City is also hiring for Staff Nurse I or II in m/s and tele

-UC Davis has a position in Acute rehab, where new grads are allowed to apply to

-Psychiatric Solutions Inc. are also accepting new graduate applications (Fremont)

As far as the Loma Linda Peds program I would say definitely apply. I just got hired in to their new grad program. I start on Monday. It does not matter which school you go to either.I went to community college. Another classmate and I were chosen. I also met a student who went to school in Long Beach who was accepted. That is 3 out of 13 that are not Loma linda students and I'm sure i'll meet more on Monday. Don't ever give up and apply every where. I wish all the new grads luck on finding a job.

RNs in the new grad program pay is $30/hr for ADNs and $32.71/hr for BSNs. Plus you get a bump in pay after you finish orientation/preceptorship. I don't know if ADNs get it too, but I'm assuming so, I didn't ask.
