California Health Corps

Published

Haven't seen a any posts about the California Health Corps.

Did anyone register for this?

Thoughts?

Any information on when we will hear back or when people would be "deployed"?

I am an RN student due to graduate in May. I'm wondering if they will still take students even though it sounds like at least 25k licensed professionals applied.

Stay safe everyone!

I think I remember the Governor say we would be covered. And my email said for the SD county area but I don’t have any details yet either. They are going to be 12 hour shifts according to the email.

I don't know anything about the job however. Will we have malpractice insurance? Where will we be deployed/do we have options? Is it 3 12's? Not sure how everything is gonna go down

Where you are deployed also depends on what preferences you put (local, throughout the state, other states) etc

For people who got to step 5, did your email say where you would be deployed? Mine says LA county at SNF's. Is there any choice to go to hospital or are SNFs the places that are most in need?

I’ve been emailed or called 4 or 5 times and each one has been for a SNF

Where are you located? Did you end up working?

Did anyone else get a call & email today from CAL-MAT asking for immediate deployment 4/28/20 for various different missions?

I answered “I am available” around 11am when they called, and haven’t heard anything back. Can anyone share their experience with this?! Thankyou!

I accepted employment on Saturday but have not gotten a call yet about employment. Good luck!

hi everyone,

I just got this email today "Thank you for your interest in participating in one of our teams of experienced professionals to provide support in existing health care facilities, such as skilled nursing facilities. This email confirms that you have been selected as a Health Corps team member. Please come to the location below at the indicated time to complete the final hiring process and receive your onboarding materials. .."

It's telling me to go to a location for an on boarding process tomorrow, April 28, 2020. The salaries are also mentioned on the email and I tell you all.. it is very low pay rate.

When we sign up can we choose our assignment? or are you required to go wherever they send you?

Do you mind telling us the pay?

For anyone who already attended their onboarding process meeting?

How long were you at the office for and how long after did it take to get your first deployment? Thanks!
