Calhoun Comm College Fall 2015

We've got several months until application time opens for Fall 2015. I assume it'll open sometime in May, maybe April if we're lucky! Does anyone already have it on their brain like I do :up: Hoping to make it in the program for Fall 2015 & would love to chat with some other folks that have ants in their pants too!

I mailed my packet in. After a couple weeks I called in and asked if my application was received and accepted. They said yes.

I would think that if I was missing something and it wasn't accepted, it wouldn't be in their system or they'd say that it wasn't accepted.

Yeah, that worrying can eat you alive. I freaked out because I couldn't remember for a couple minutes if I put my transcripts in there haha... But what's done is done. I'm a guy and I saw a few other guys taking the test in mid March. I think I read a statistic that said about 10% of all nurses are males. Seeing as that number is growing, I'm betting there will probably be that percentage if not a little more in the fall class. We'll see.

I also wanted to add that if anyone is still looking to finish up any pre-reqs, LSU independent study is a great way to get classes out of the way quick, and at your own pace. Calhoun accepted my Psychology and Human Growth and Development. I am currently finishing up Interpersonal Communication (for the Speech requirement). You can take your LSU exams at Calhoun testing centers.

Okay so this wait is torture! I just finished laying carpet and now Im tempted to start staining my deck, lol! I didnt know we could call and ask about whether or not they received our packets. I will definitely do that tomorrow.

Ok so I called and the secretary confirmed that they have received mine. Times like this I wish I could read minds through phones, lol! I couldnt get a read from her. She was smooooooth! Deep sigh! The wait continues.

We've just about hit 2 weeks! We're possibly half way there now! If not 1/2 way, were 1/3 of the way! Yay!

So yeah... this waiting has me loopy! I drove all the way to the kids daycare this morning only to discover the kids weren't even in the car lol! It's my husband's morning to take them
