Calhoun Comm College Fall 2015

We've got several months until application time opens for Fall 2015. I assume it'll open sometime in May, maybe April if we're lucky! Does anyone already have it on their brain like I do :up: Hoping to make it in the program for Fall 2015 & would love to chat with some other folks that have ants in their pants too!

Thanks for the welcome messages. My application points totaled 259. Does anyone know how many applicants are accepted into the evening program? I look forward to chatting with you all, and hopefully, getting to meet if accepted. Yes, this is going to be a long 4 - 6 week wait until we know something. Good luck to everyone! Richard your points are outstanding! Surely you are in. I think the evening program has around 50 slots. That's what we were told at the advising session.

Thanks Brandiwine. Only 50 slots for the evening program! I was not able to attend one of the information sessions due to my job. Please keep me updated on any new info you all find out.

Will do! It was like a question answer session, but very informative. The Dean was there and had a PowerPoint for us. I enjoyed it. She said evening program would meet once during the week with that day varying each semester. She said clinicals would either be Saturday or Sunday and we can't pick when or where we are assigned.

I agree BackwoodsBarbie! I live in Birmingham so those local folks need to open their mail at their computers. I think we should be next in line to know after they find out themselves :yes: lol

I plan on doing my CPR soon with a fire station here in Birmingham. It's like $15 which is right up my alley. Confession: I caught myself looking online at cute stethoscopes the other day lol

I don't plan on doing my CPR anytime soon because mine is currently active. BrandiWine, they're fun to look at right?! I have one (I am an xray tech and we do nursing as well where I work at) it's the Littmann Raspberry Rainbow stethoscope. I LOOOOVE mine! They have a teal color with rainbow also, one of my coworkers has it & it's pretty too.

Ok ya'll, this waiting for our letters is not fun. I keep going over in my mind, "did I leave anything out of my packet", "will my application be thrown out for some technicality", "is me TEAS V good enough", etc. I think I just need to quit reading past threads. Has anyone heard from any other applicants? I am out of the "loop" as far as campus and student life goes so I don't know any students currently at Calhoun. And, I'll probably be one of the few men applying for the program. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
