Just called the department to confirm they received my statement of intent. The lady I spoke to said that they will try to do their best to get more information to us hopefully by the end of this week.

I am going to start a private facebook group OR an email thread where we can ask questions directly pertaining to our classes/situation. That's a great idea coloradochick34! I'm part of Fall Cohort 13 so I'm thinking of creating a FB group for us as well. I haven't seen too many people who start in Fall, but send me a PM if you'd like to join in! I'd like to get this going and meeting you all!

Also, has anyone heard anything about an orientation date? When I called the dept a few weeks back, the person I spoke with said that the tentative dates for orientation are April 17th or 18th. She was waiting to get approval from the university and said she'd send an email by the end of that week, but I never heard back. I don't live close by, so I'd have to make travel arrangements and get time off from work. I'm kind of anxious to find out.
