@aleong29 and others: I've been accepted for summer, but have not heard anything regarding a deposit besides paying for the background check and logging into that site. Can you share your info on this? Thanks so much!

She gave me this link to calculate approximate tuition amount 2012-13 Schedule of Systemwide Fees | Systemwide and Campus Mandatory Fees | Student Fees | Budget | CSU

I have not heard of a deposit required to hold the spot. I have only heard of paying for certified profile. In the acceptance letter it states....

"2. You must sign in to certified background to finalize your admission to our program."

Is this the same info that other people have received or is there another deposit that I missed?

That is correct. I also did not get anything about a deposit. I also haven't received the updated email with that "calculate approximate tuition" either. I did get the link to login in the certified background check but the code is invalid and I received an email (that I believe was sent to everyone) stating that the site isn't working and their working on getting it back up but that sending in the signed acceptance letter should be enough. Hopefully people who wanted to go to CSUN did that already. Note below: "Please be aware that if you are having problems registering with Certified Background it is because we are undergoing a software upgrade. As long as you have submitted your Statement of Acceptance your seat has been reserved. We will keep you updated when Certified Background becomes available. Thank you for your patience.

For those who have already registered there may be a retraction of your payment from Certified Background. We will keep you updated when we have confirmation with Certified Background on the next appropriate step to take. We appologize for this inconvenience."

Apologies to everyone for the confusion. I failed to notice that there were different requirements from different schools. I had a deposit to put down to guarantee my seat at Mount St. Mary's, but CSUN just had a statement of acceptance. I also got an email stating I got accepted to the Fall 2013 ABSN program at CSUN. It was in my spam folder and I didn't check it for the longest time ever! I look forward to meeting all of you!

Yes, thanks God was able to get into summer. The code for certified background didn't work and I emailed Joanne to find out the cohort number I am in, she said she is getting ready the envelopes with the info and further steps. So, let's wait.

I was accepted into the Fall Cohort, but I was really hoping for Summer. I would ask and see if I can change, but I feel like it's too late to switch.

Hi Tweety2013! I received an email yesterday around 2:30pm for acceptance into the FALL 2013 start. It was in my spam so I didn't see it right away. I have until April 1st to accept.
