Yup! I did! Keeping my fingers crossed! Do you know when we will find out?
I'm a little worried about my gpa and TEAS score though... My overall gpa is 3.4 and my TEAS was 83%. But I applied to 5 schools total, and hoping 1 will accept me.
hey Maymire glad to meet someone who applied here as well. I am so nervous too my teas isn't so great i gotta retake it again! 80% is decent so you did pretty good where else have you applied to?
I applied to my local JC, Santa Rosa Junior College, CSU Stanislaus, CSU Channel Islands, and CSU San Marcos, only 4 schools, 5 was a typo :)
I keep hearing you need a 3.7-4.0 gpa etc etc, I'm getting so nervous! But I'm determined! If I don't get accepted this time around, this fall I can apply to a ton more schools, such as, sac state, chico, san diego, csu east bay, ssu, etc.
Have you applied anywhere else? Any idea when we will be notified of acceptance?
I applied to cal state la and bakersfield san marcos and SFSU but the last one is a long shot. The teas weigh alot to and i didn't do that great on them. If you do not get in are you going to apply to the schools for next fall as in 2011?
Oh awesome! Ya just retake the TEAS, study the parts you didn't do so well on, then just resend the results. I know with CSUSM, you have until May 21st the send them in. I was thinking of doing that.
Ya, if I don't get in, I will just reapply to the same ones, then apply to a couple more, like the ones I mentioned. I wasn't able to apply to them this time around because my Micro was in progress. I just noticed it says your 19 by your name, I am too! :) At this rate if we get in, we will be graduated with our BSN at age 22-23! Im hoping to continue and get my Master's and become an NP.
I would love to finish by 22-23 and get a masters and be a midwife :] Sounds great I hope we both get in but I don't think we will know until May. If I hear anything I'll let you know :] best of luck to the both of us :heartbeat:jester::cheers::balloons::yelclap:

It has been getting more competitive....in addition to GPA, they give out points for work and volunteer experience, as well as foreign language points....and if you don't qualify as a "resident" that's 8 points you miss out on, which is quite a bit....good luck to the both of you...
Maymie-I graduated from Santa Rosa high....I used to hang out at the JC whenever I was cutting class....which school did you go to?
Oh and they usually don't tell you until July...usually the 1st. You have until June 30th to get your spring transcripts to them and they decide the next day and start/emailing people....it's kind of frustrating but try to keep busy and you'll forget about it (kinda like I did)
Thanks for the great info!
Snwbdr, that's so awesome! Ya, I actually didn't graduate from a SR school, I graduated from a Lake County school I love it here in SR though! The JC is very good. Are you in CSUSM's program?
yes I'm currently in the 2nd semester of my 2nd year....I'm in cohort 4 which started Fall 2008.
I miss Santa Rosa....I remember always wanting to leave while I was living there, but now I definitely miss it, and would go back if I was able to get a job after school. I have a few friends that are still there, and others that left and returned. It's just one of those towns I guess.
Feel free to ask me any questions u have bout the program. Also I know you're not really local Maymie, but we're putting on an Open House in March where the students will be showing pre-nursing students what goes on....if you happen to be in the area, I'd suggest attending. And it's open to everyone
Oh I wish I could go to that! That would be awesome! But I really doubt I could make it down.
And thanks again for all the info! If I get accepted, be sure to hear from me with questions ;D
has anyone heard anything from CSUM? They claim that they will contact us early march and it seems to be early march. Any luck?
