Cal State Northridge CSUN Accelerated BSN 2010

Just wanted to get the momentum moving for CSUN's BSN program. I got my letter today confirming that my application is in. Already knew that since I hand delivered it ahead of schedule. Now only 4 months to go before I hear anything. How will I ever not lose my mind?

I will be starting this summer. Does anyone have any information on a tentative schedule or what our book list will be? I am sure they will cover all of this in orientation on the 20th of May, but with classes starting on the 25th, that won't give us much time to prepare.

I plan on sending an email tomorrow with hopes of obtaining this information, but thought I would check here to see if anyone else had the same concern.

Hi! I'll be starting this summer too! ;) No info yet on books. I guess we'll have to wait for the actual packet which will be sent after they receive the letter of intent.

Thanks for the reply suzetteBC. I didn't know they would be sending an information packet. I am hoping to get the book information sooner than later to hopefully save some money by finding them online. Are you doing anything now to prepare? The only preparation I have done is lots of sleep :).

I envy you! I have been working more hours than usual to save some money as preparation! ;) Please let me know once you receive the packet. I do hope that they send it right away. I want to know what other stuff we have to do before starting the program like if I have to take CPR/ First Aid classes and all. So you'll be my classmate!

I was also chosen as an alternate. Have any of you fellow alternates been invited into the program yet? I called CSUN last Wednesday and was told that they were waiting to contact alternates until they were sure that all mail post-marked by the 12th had arrived.

I was also accepted to CSULB ELM they sent me the next day a list of items that need to be completed by 6/11 immunizations, insurance requirements, BLS etc. interesting....

Did anyone else get accepted for Fall? I wonder if they send both cohorts their information packets at the same time???? I'd love to know everything I'm going to need sooner than later. This way, I can wrap my head around everything and get a start on shopping for the best prices.

I'm so very excited...with bouts of nervousness, but mostly just anxious!!!!

If anyone else got admitted for fall maybe we should start a yahoo group. I think some past cohorts and other schools have done this, and it seems like a good idea.

I haven't heard from them yet. The said that they were going to send an email. My email add is [email protected] . It would be great if you could email me if ever you hear from them. I will also update you if I hear from them. I wish we'd know now what other requirements we have to finish before the semester starts.Please keep me posted

I got accepted for the summer cohort as well. i think we all have a lot of questions because we have not received the final package yet. just called them today and they have not sent it out yet.
