Hi, everyone

wanted to know how many of you here are applying to cal state east bay program for the fall of 2012? i know the application doesn't open for another week, but i'm already really nervous about it. for those of you who applied last year what does the application consist of (the supplemental)? any essays?

I have also not taken my teas yet, i know the final day to submit our scores is feburary 15 for the teas. i have bought a few review books one directly from ati and a few from amazon to prepare for the test.

I would really love to get in the program since my other option is USF which is really costly.

anybody else here is going to apply or is studying for the teas test?

My over all GPA so far is 3.79... and it will improve the end of this sememster, im taking my last 2 pre reqs this semester.

what teas score do you think i need to know im granteed to get in?

tell me your stats, lets make freinds and prepare to apply.

thanks,

NIA

omg, omg, omg, omg, omg I GOT IN!!!!! YAY! Just got my e-mail

AHHHH!!!! Congrats!!!

YES!!!! I just got my acceptance email! I am so happy and relieved! Congratulations to those who also got in and good luck to those that are still waiting!

I am totally freaking out now b/c I haven't gotten an email! As long as I have a decient alternative # I'll be happy! Can the email just come already!!!!!

ok, I'm feeling better... my lab patner (with a 4.0) hasn't gotten anything yet either.... whew!

Congrats everyone!

For those who got in CONGRATS, what a huge accomplishment. Can you please tell us still waiting which email they sent your acceptance letter to. I want to stop checking 2 emails (:

I received it at both my horizon and personal email.

I received it through my external email account. Good Luck!

Did you turn your applications in extra early or do you have last names that are in the beginning of the alphabet. See how crazy I am! Trying to find a method to the madness. No need to answer if you don't feel like it. I just need to be patient (:

Just got my rejection email

"Dear xxxx,

Upon evaluation of your CSUEB Nursing Supplemental Application, we regret to inform you that you are not eligible for the Fall 2012 Pre-Licensure Nursing Program for the following reason:

Based on what was entered on your nursing application, you met our minimum eligibility requirements, but your point total compared to other applicants did not qualify you for Conditional Admission or Wait List status.

If you wish to reapply to our program Fall 2013, online applications will be available October 1, 2012. Please visit the Pre-Licensure Program Fall 2013 Admission link (once it is posted) on our website: Nursing Department: Sciences: California State University, Eastbay..."

If you guys don't mind, can you tell me your Teas score and GPA and wether you got accepted or rejected. Try not to laugh but my pre-req GPA is 3.3(C's in Stats and physio) and Teas score 70% (didn't study at all). I plan to retake the Teas sometime this summer.

Do you guys know if I can retake classes with C's in order to boost my GPA? I want to, but I'm afraid I'll lose points for repeating a course

Just got my acceptance email for Fall 2012!! My stats are: 4.0 gpa (both pre-req & overall), TEAS 82%, health related volunteer work. CSUEB is my last choice but will be happy to be in a program if I don't get into SDSU (still waiting), SFSU, I was wait listed rank #32.

Congrats to all who will be studying with me come Fall, and good luck to all who are still waiting.. This process has been bananas for all of us I am sure!

Thanks for being open enough to share your bad news. I would not feel ashamed of your scores. It is extremely competitive right now. 5 years ago your GPA would have probably gotten you into nursing school. I got an 88% on my TEAS and I think my prereq GPA is a 3.7. I have not heard either way yet, so I am assuming I might fall in the wait list category. I'm pretty sure the TEAS will give you almost the exact same questions as the the first time you took it. Hopefully that is helpful. Not sure about your grade questions?
