I was wondering if there were any critical care nurses that have heard or taken the california School of Health Science Critical Care Certification course/training?
How well is it recognized by hospitals when applying?
thanks!

Why do you want to take this? Looks like a waste of money and time to me.
well that's why i'm asking.
Seems like a waste of time to me too since I would hope to get training at a hospital.
But, no one will hire unless I have experience or certified training, and even though some hospitals should provide training, some still will not hire. So I was just looking around and I came across this course.

It seems to me that (depending on where you are living) they just want experience. I could have a BSN, all the classes you can want, and they all just want the bottom line, experience. But, it can't hurt! How much does it cost?

It's just a review course that uses the AACN Essentials of Critical Care Nursing as a textbook. It's not cheap, $600 for 9 days. However, I just googled it, I'm in critical care and I've never heard of it. Hospitals would not consider it equivalent to experience.
Just buy the book and read it yourself. Save the $600 for something else.

IMO this would not qualify as "certified training." Hospitals want to see experience and/or a hospital-based critical care course with preceptored clinical time and classroom time.
This looks like a waste of time and money and I can't see that it will do you any good on a job application.
