CA NCLEX Results

Published

Hello everyone, I live in California & took my NCLEX-RN on 2/12/15. As of today, 2/18/15...I still don't have my results yet. I understand it was a weekend plus Monday was a holiday. My classmate took hers 4 days after mine and found out the next day that she passed.

Now, I checked breeze & it says "No License Information Available". There is no hold, no pending, no nothing other than the option to start a new application. I went to Pearson Vue website & under exam history, it stated, "No results available."

With that being said, I took 265 questions in 5 hours. So, did I fail? If I did, will it say "FAIL" on my breeze application? I didn't do the PVT because I don't think it works. Your answer is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you read around this forum, you will find that California is pretty random in its approach to updating license info on its website. There are reports of seeing updates in only a day or two, but they are quite rare as most people have to wait weeks. Yes, WEEKS.

The number of questions you had means nothing, nor did the time it took you to complete it. Holds have no bearing on your pass/fail results.

As for the PVT, it DOES work if you do it exactly as explained: wait at least 24 hours AFTER you have completed the exam to try it. Submit your financial information, and see if it accepts it. If it DOES (and therefore you can schedule another exam), you have failed. If it does NOT, and tells you another registration cannot be made, you have passed.

It is an unreliable 'trick' when done as most people do it (which means, WRONG). You need to wait a full 24 hours in order for your scores to be finalized (two sets of scores per test). Doing it too soon means you are paying or not paying based only on the first score, which is senseless.

Since you took it nearly a week ago, it is what it is. If you're prepared to pay for another exam....do the PVT. If not....wait for official results.

Goodluck!

But if I failed, will it actually have the word "FAIL" listed anywhere? Right now it's not showing anything, just that results are not available.

As far as results on pearson Vue since CA does not participate in quick results it will always say "results unavailable" as the results statement on pearson Vue refers to whether or not quick results are available.

Did you apply for an interim permit? Those who received their license quickest from CABRN had an interim permit

Unfortunately, I didn't apply for an interim permit :( I don't want to lose hope yet, I still want to take the fact that breeze says no license info available is a good sign. But I can't help but to think negative. Thank you so much for your replies.

Yes, it took a few of my classmates 2 days, me 8, and 2 others 2 weeks and 3 weeks. We did have 2 failures and they only found out they failed because they got letters. Nothing on breeze.

I took mine near a holiday and that DEFINITELY was part of my wonderful delay. Good luck!

Not always though, my friends didn't have one and theirs were up in 2 days. Who knows that the logic is with posting to breeze.

Thank you Nienna. I sure hope that my result was just a delay. I'm just bummed that a classmate took it 4 days after and found out the next day and I'm still clueless.

hi , how did u find out your results? via breeze? mail?

If your sister is seeing "License/Registration Number:" and an 8 digit number, "License/Registration Type: Registered Nurse" when she signs into the BreEZe system, then she's an RN. If she's looking up her name as if she's a member of the public and sees on the left side of the screen after entering her name and clicking on the link to her name:

License Number: XXXXXXXX

Name:Lastname, FirstName Middle Name

License Type:Registered Nurse

License Status:Current

She's an RN if all the data is correct. She should sign on to the BreEZe system as a user to verify that she's actually an RN. I copied/pasted the above from my own lookup and scrubbed my personal info from it. When you sign in to the system as a user, you see all of your license statuses right away in a drop-down menu type thing on the right side of the screen. It's pretty obvious.

Thank you for a response. Seems like she passes according to your instruction. Finger cross!
