Hi there! I am in my 3rd semester of nursing program and have a criminal record. To try to make my long story short.. I can't believe who I use to be and who I am now.. my past is embarrassing but I have worked so hard to get to where I am today.
I had a very bad upbringing, abusive alcohol father... When I was 18/ 19 I made some huge mistakes and found, or well put myself in really bad situations. After about 2 1/2 yrs of several arrest for things.. I had 3 misdemeanors Theft by Unauthorized Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, and Tampering with Public Records (fake ID). I have 5 misdemeanors that I was never convicted (Unlawful Possession, marijuana possession, etc) and never official arrested for, and lastly I have 3 felonies that 2 I was found Not Guilty and the other one the judge dismissed the whole case because it was absurd. I def made lots of mistakes and was a completely different person. I moved to CA and started fresh. Unfortunately in 2011, at the age of 21 I made another mistake. I got a DUI. My alcohol level was so low.. 0.083 that the DMV didn't even recognize my DUI so I didn't loose my license and completed a 6 week program. Since then I have completely turned my life around. I have gotten my DUI expunged and the rest of my record should be completed this month with getting expunged. I've tried to ask my Dean for help but she is more confused than I am. I have started getting reference letters and am hoping to get 7 of them. I also am trying to get my original Arrest Records but thats little more difficult since I am 2000 miles from where I grew up and had the charges at 18/19. For my rehabilitation documents I have my alcohol class, documents of my expunged records, maybe a letter from my Doctor, trying to locate a letter from my therapist that she wrote for the court when I was going through all of my legal mess. Do you recommend a Drug and Alcohol Evaluation? Or what else can you suggest for me?! I really can't afford another lawyer right now but also know I have a lot going on. I read on the BRN to only submit info for Convicted crimes.. but all of the other things still show up even though I wasn't convicted. Please help! I have been so upset and discouraged these past few weeks!

Do not waste any money on attn. If you are in Cali, hopefully you will fingerprint and backround check. Before you do order a FBI finger print check so you know what will show. You will be granted Lic on probation drug piss test for six months an first job will have to send in reports for you. You will have to live in Cali of course to complete. Be glad you are not in Louisiana or you would get 3 years of their punishment. You can call me 504-430-6626. you can do this
Thank you so much for getting back to me! I had been told so many mixed things about getting a lawyer. I got my official records and my DMV records from DOJ last summer because I needed them for my lawyer who is helping getting my record expunged. So that is how I know exactly what charges I ended up with. Do you recommend doing another background check? Our Dean hasn't come and talk to my class yet about the process for applying for boards so but I'm assuming you get an FBI finger print check? I will def be contacting you! Did you have to go through this process also? And I didn't know Louisiana was so strict!
