Ca BRN Website License check?

Sorry admins if this is the wrong forum section;

I took my nclex last thursday, Oct 3, finished the exam at 2 pm and went on the Ca BRN website, apparently it went down on oct 3 for an update and the license verification just re-opened today Oct 8, I got the good pop-up / PVT, but i'm still not listed under the registry. Anybody know how long it usually takes to see your name on it? Thanks.

WOW! just got off phone with BON and they said they haven't gotten anything from pearson!? ***** So I call Pearson and they said they sent over the info already..... it is electronic.... SERIOUSLY....I am about to lose it.

yea i just called the board and they said they didnt received any result from pearson ,,,i called pearson and they saying they already sent to board ,,whats going on guys,,, cal brn SUCKS

I just called the BRN- took the NCLEX on the 15th. They said it will take about 4 weeks-- and that's how it's always been. (Which isn't really true) she said they have everything and I just have to wait. On breeze it says my license is pending and the application is open. I am still getting the good pop up.

Hi All!

I took the NCLEX on the 10th and have gotten nothing as well. I just called BRN and after 30 minutes of being on hold, the lady over the phone told me I passed but will have to wait for my license in the mail. If 30 days go by and I still don't have a license then I should call back. Bummer. :sniff: I think we all need our numbers to apply for jobs!

Well congratulations RN!!! At least you know for sure that you passed. Even though you probably already knew from pvt, it feels good to actually hear from the brn!

Yes the license # will be waited for anxiously to apply for work, but i'm just trying to apply with my IP in the meantime to at least feel productive lol. I know a lot of places don't take IPs but it makes me feel like i'm doing something nursing forward.

Don't give it 30 days though, wait a week to 2 max and tell them that you passed and license never came and they may put it thru sooner

guys i agained called a lady on phone said ..iam in a good position i dont need to e worry ( which means am passed) original license gonna come few days but they said wait ....tell me guys am in san diego an international nurse ,,, i heared its diffcult to get a job for fresh grads....any helpful link or comment please

I didn't ask if I passed.. I asked if my file was missing any paperwork (which I already knew was complete since I called a week before my exam to double check). The lady over the phone said she's not supposed to tell me my results but she did anyways since the system is a mess.

@jmira thanks! I will def wait 2 weeks to call. It's been driving me nuts! I dont have an IP number cuz my school jipped us on it and said our tuition only prepaid for the app fee. There was no way for us to individually include the $50 into the app since our school submitted our apps together and apparently wrote one check.

Does anyone else call and get transferred to an Evaluator each time? I've left numerous messages for my evaluator.

Yes, I keep getting transferred to my evaluator also and it is always voice mail. Maybe we have the same evaluator. I wish I just had his direct number because it takes so long to hear an actual person's voice on BRN phone number.

When I asked to make sure my paperwork is complete, they just said oh to re-apply to take the NCLEX again it should have been complete already. Just wait 2-4 weeks. I really hope everything is complete in my file then.

How can people who tested after Oct 10 have results already like that person on nursing facebook group? *sigh*

Man, I am seriously getting fed up with all of this. I called in this morning, and the lady said I've upto 4 wks to receive my results. I tested on the 9th. I had also asked if my file was complete and she said that everything looks fine. But she did not tell me if I passed or not!

What day did you test?

And yes, it is difficult for new grad in California. A lot of people go out of state or relocate. Check out new grad California facebook group, the California nursing forum on allnurses, and First Year after Licensure forum on allnurses. Those forums have a lot of threads with advice for new grads.
