I had already registered online in Pearson Vue but I think I'm not yet eligible to take the test. Is there an expiration date for my registration at PV?
I received a letter from CA BON requesting for new requirements such as:
Fortunately, I had the first 2 requirements but I am worried that the last 3 will take time to be accomplished.
I am wondering if it's just me who have this requirement. Most of NCLEX passers I know weren't required on those listed above. It's really hard to focus on review while your thinking of this
I received the LOVE letter from CA BON. Guess what? beep beep, time is up. the answer is "DENIAL LOVE LETTER from CA BON". they want me to go to school again and complete the theory and clinicals in their accredited schools. what a waste of time and effort. oops. and also lots of money. lots of it. I don't have enough money to go schooling again and it is not guaranteed that will approve you application if we complete those requirements. guys, help me!?? should I apply for LVN?what is the first step.

There are a few good threads that specifically discuss the LVN process here, just cruise thru the various topics, some give a good step-by-step.
kudos to everyone! iam a 4th yr filam student from cali studying here in phil. 2 wks ago i've talked to the head of the registrar regarding issues about Cabon/NCLEX eligibility. Guess what? someone got approved this year to sat on NCLEX (batch 2012). the reality there's a chance. i believe it's a case to case basis some are denied and some are accepted.

Thanks for an update. Do you know what school he attended in the Phil?
Good luck to all who are going to take nclex either rn or lvn. We can do it since we are good test takers even we had different clinical experience during our program and we have a language barrier. :)

That's the confusing part, so if it's one school that actually met the CA BON requirements, ALL of the same batch grads should also be granted their ATT.
I mean, we heard of others here who's friend from the same classes and year of graduation got their ATT, but they didn't, then, they contact their evaluator, only to be told, "sorry, you still don't meet the requirements, as previously notified in your letter".
So maybe this PH school is complying with the CA BON and hoping it's not someone submitting "Recto" documents :-(
Knowing how hard it is to even talk to a live person in the CA BON office, are you referring to the "head of the registar" from the CA BON dept. or from a PH school?

Having a batchmate approved does not necessarily mean that the rest will be too. A batchmate of mine was approved but the rest of us denied and all of us shared the same concurrency issue. Weird part is, the same analyst who approved my batchmate's application was also the same one who rejected another batchmate of mine.
Greetings! I'm a 2012 BSN graduate from the Philippines and now residing here in California. I've recently submitted all the requirements stated by CA-BRN. Upon receiving and evaluating my application, will they automatically (without any doubt) ask for copies of my clinical cases? If so, should I mail the same cases I had submitted before to PRC prior to taking the NLE in the Phils? I took the Philippine board exam and by grace, passed it. Will it be an advantage?
Hi there KurtRN, i believe it is required to pass your clinical cases, and if you don't there's a huge possibility that the CA BRN will request for them. Did you by any chance complete your cases within the time frame of their corresponding lectures? Will having an local license be an advantage? In California not so much but if you are applying to other states then yes. States are now requiring license to where they were trained in. Some states also started to require a minimum of 2 years experience to sit for the NCLEX.
Just as long as your cases are completed within the same year of the corresponding theory then you'll be fine. A Social Security Number is also needed. and if you do get your ATT pass the NCLEX on the first try.
