Hello all,
i know now many of us have just graduating and are applying for jobs and anxiously awaiting the BRN to send us our ATT so we can take the mystical NCLEX. I thought it would be nice to have a post our timelines, if we have accepted our first job yet and where you will be working as a new grad, how you are studying for the NCLEX, when you submitted your application to the BRN, when your school sent in your transcripts, when you received your ATT, and when you finally took the NCLEX how many questions you had and any advice you'd give to those who haven't taken it yet:)
I'll start off the conversation:
BRN application sent in: December 5th
RN grad date: 12/16/16
First RN job:Surgical ICU (very anxious)
transcripts roster sent in: 1/11/16
ATT: not received yet (BRN updates processing dates every Monday but the dates haven't changed in a few weeks probably due to the holidays)
Studying for NCLEX: 4 day in class Kaplan review (wasn't a huge fan, but instructor was nice and it did help a little), Uworld (awesome app, great rationales that help you review content as you test), NCLEX mastery (rationales are decent), misc NCLEX books to answer as many questions as I can (Saunders, Kaplan content review, ATI content review) Saunders is awesome because it has online question banks with a few thousand questions.
