If their aren't any positions posted to fill it's a moot point. Hospitals have what's called a float pool to avoid using agency and usually have per diem/on call staff also.
There are already agencies for temp staffing because it's beneficial to the employer and they have loopholes to write it off as a monetary loss.
It's a nice idea but if the employee has no experience than it's not beneficial to the employer and the bottom line is the money it takes to train a new RN.
I guess i tried to make it different. I over think things at times. I have never worked or delt with an agency. So i don't know what roll one would play it was just an idea that popped in my head. You know just trying to get people to work type of thing. These are my thoughts use them as you wish. Thank you all for posting ..
Just as a matter of interest, do you have many agencies in the US that place nurses overseas? Other than in Saudi or UAE, I mean.
A couple of large private health care organizations in South Africa have recruited nurses from India to fill some of the worst gaps in their staffing shortages, and the State hospitals are chronically short-staffed. I don't suppose any of their recruiters have come sniffing around the US, have they?

Hey,
Karma here with another bright idea ( Yes i get those) I have been thinking and thinking about Nurses who can't find jobs Or New Grads who can't get a chance. And i came up with this. ( Drum Roll Please) How about a Nursing Temp Service. Yes You all have seen Temp Services Right? Well why not starting one for medical personal. I know we have agency and traveling nursing. But what if we could get people in to hospitals for 90 days or Nursing Homes or Home Health Companys. And after 90 days even if it's 120 days they either have to keep you or let you go. If your let go you go to another assignment this just might work tell me what you all think. Would it work? or Why wouldn't it work.
