Applications opened today!! Wanted to start a thread for discussion.

Has anyone heard anything about in-person interviews?

I talked to a representative and he said they're still going through the applications and digital interviews. He said it's a really good sign if you already got a digital interview. You may not hear from anyone for as long as March. The next step after the digital would be an in-person interview with a specific unit or residency program. I think it went well:) Just waiting on my picture to get sent to me.

I wonder how they decide who gets a digital interview before others?

Nothing yet for me:( I applied for Women's service.

I went to the EXPO and it will be very hard to get hired in Women's services. It depends where you are applying but BUMC has no opening, Irving I think they said had 1, Grapevine has 2. They said they usually hire people within the system who have experience. From what they were saying I got the message that it is better if you apply to a med-surg job at baylor and then wait for an opening in women's service, you will have a better chance that way.

Does anyone know when they were going to email the pictures we took at the EXPO? I completely forgot to ask.

@AnaRegisteredNurse, did they suggest reapplying for med-surg jobs? I applied for Women's Services and haven't heard a thing. I'm trying to decide if I should resubmit my apps for med-surg, or if I'm already out of luck since I originally submitted for Women's Services at 3 locations.

They didn't want to discourge those who want to apply bu they did suggest to apply to a med-surg position instead. They were saying that they are full mostly because they hire people already within the baylor culture because they have experience and are familiar with the culture. I got the email for the women's services recruiter in case you wanted to ask specifically what locations have women services opening. Personally, I no longer have interest in women's services because there were no openings at my preferred location. If that was my dream job I would apply to a med-surg unit first and then transfer to womens servies.

I applied for women services so maybe that's why I havent heard anything back. :( I also applied to peds med surg at temple and nothing back yet. I am a LPN of three years working on a med surg unit and still nothing back. I thought I would at least hear back from peds med surg. Oh well I guess its time to look other places. How are you guys speaking to a person? Everytime I call they transfer me to a voice messaging system I never get to talk to a person.
