Hey Guys!

Applications opened today!! Wanted to start a thread for discussion.

I applied to the OR residency at BUMC and had my digital interview this past Saturday. The way my digital interview was set up was as such:

- The company was through HireVue software

- You are given a question and have 3 tries to submit a 2 minute and 30 sec response

- You do it on your own time in your own environment, it is not live

- There were 7 questions, some general such as tell me about yourself to specific such as how would you be a good fit to this unit

- It was suggested to dress like you would to any other interview so I wore a blazer and blouse and had my hair curled

I have not received or heard anything from BUMC after I submitted my digital interview

I haven't heard anything either. I called and they said they have alot of interviews to do through, so it might take some time before we hear back.

I know one person who applied to the ED residency at BUMC already got a call back the morning of this Monday and basically got the job. I think they wanted to set up an in person interview with her but were already asking her what she wanted her pay to be and when she can work. She most likely got such a quick call back because she already works as a tech on that unit. She told me and my heart dropped because I haven't heard anything but she said she thinks they are doing it by unit and since they had to fire and hire a bunch of hiring people the process is going to take a while.

OMG that is awesome. I also applied to ED at BUMC but I have yet to hear back. Hoping it won't be too much longer. I also applied to Baylor in Waxahachie. Has anyone heard from there?

for interviews should we try and take up the whole 2 min and 30 seconds? Or do you think it is okay if we do it shorter?

Question: when y'all submitted your application, did you apply to just one location? Or did you do 3 separate applications for your top 3 locations?

i did 3 sep applications

I did two separate applications for the Temple and Round Rock location. The last question in the interview asked to list your top three locations. For my interview I did not take the full 2:30 to answer the questions, I gave as much detail as I felt the question needed and then called it good. I don't think they are looking for you to fill the complete time, they just allow that much so you feel like you have plenty of time to answer the question thoroughly. I think the content of your answer matters more than the time you take to answer, hopefully .... lol

I still haven't heard anything yet. I applied to Irving, Temple and Dallas.
